Discussion: Kentucky Clerk Who Defied Judge's Gay Marriage Order Asks For Delay

Discussion for article #239421

My Christonist faith gives me the right to deny legally granted rights to whomever I choose!

Why? Because my invisible sky tool says I can.

Tool? What else do you call someone who’s used so easily by others for there own agenda?

Hoping the judge puts her homophobic a**in jail for contempt. If these clerks start getting jail time and lose their jobs perhaps they will get the message they cannot discriminate.

I think all of the employees in the office are complicit in this vile illegal religious scheme. It has the hallmarks of an organized conspiracy and racket. Are retrenchment and imprisonment pending trial not legal options?

“Liberty” legal counsel, what an ironic name as they are denying liberty and advocating religious bigotry in it’s place. Or maybe they all lawyers from the “esteemed” liberty “university” propaganda mill, er law school.

Really have run out of patience with these sorts, either do the job that everyone’s taxes, including LGBT folks, are paying you to do or step aside and go fulminate on your own time and dime.

Kim, get a different job!

Throw her in jail for contempt and then fire her backside. She shouldn’t be wasting the time of the courts.

Inspired by Libery University, I’m sure. Founded by that bastion of tolerance, Jerry Falwell.

Sounds like the Davises are running the county clerk’s office as a family business. If Nathan Davis is unrelated to Kim Davis, why wouldn’t he say so? Shouldn’t be hard to find out, in any case.

Sorry, lady. Justice delayed is justice denied. Justice has been delayed for far too long due to people like you. This has been litigated over and over. Your side lost. America won. Request denied. Do the job you were elected to perform or be held in contempt. Heavy fines and years-long sentencing await you.

“Bunning said in his ruling Wednesday that Davis has likely violated the U.S. Constitution’s protection against the establishment of a religion by ‘openly adopting a policy that promotes her own religious convictions at the expenses of others.’”

Yep.

The vast majority of reputable law offices, municipalities, etc., will not hire any Liberty University law graduates – for reasons just like this case. They are a laughing stock in the real legal world.

I will say this, though: Up until fairly recently, it’s been one handy tool. Thank goodness it’s starting to break down a lot lately.

This 4 times married crone should be taken down off her cross, removed from office and jailed immediately for thumbing her nose at the court initially. She is a public servant…so serve the public or get the hell out.
Her “Christofascist” beliefs obviously don’t include objecting to divorce, huh?

Justice delayed is justice denied. She needs to go…like yesterday!
Then let her whining self righteous bible-cherrypicking Xtian ass grift at GoFundMe.

“Considering”???
Kim might want to consider asking God for a haircut as all that hair in the summer heat has obviously poached her brain…

She is violating the couple’s Constitutional rights. No delay for you Ms. Davis. Just resign your position and seek private employment at Hobby Lobby.

Why is the court humoring these petty, myopic, hateful jerkoffs? Just throw them in jail for contempt and let’s get on with our lives! Why is this a thing?

A little jail time is in order for MS DAVIS. That way she can be the martyr which is obviously her choice.

To be clear, when I said “why is a thing?” I meant why are these racist clerks tolerated?
