This piece of hagiography reads a like a press release from Kennedy’s office. All it’s missing is, Sen Kennedy has ruled out running for the Presidency in 2020, for now (but here’s a link to donate anyway).
The reputation of the Associated Press sinks a little lower each time it puts its name on one of these press releases.
Skimmed this just to see if there was any possible rationale for writing it. So what if he agonized? People agonize over what color refrigerator to get. Pretty thin stuff, AP. Mediocre generally thirty years ago and worse now. Hey Jonathan Lemire, I hope you have your resume out there, you deserve better colleagues than this.
He’s a ‘nerd’? Really? I thought he was a folksy good ol’ boy who showed his true ‘colors’ during the Kavanaugh hearing…
And here I was hoping for some real agony to be involved.
