Probably gets him off the hook for being sued or criminal acts charged. So much of rightwing and whitecollar crime is based on lack of will and follow thru on really nabbing these people. Think of the banksters. Crimes everywhere you look, but no legal or political will or governing bodies so decimated they have no resources to file the suits.
