Well either there was a kinky 3rd person, an automatic video in the room, someone hired to spy on Ellison, a computer left on or it didn’t happen.
Ellison wasn’t my first choice for DNC, but this sure seems like a hatchet job to me. Timing and all.
Pffffffffffffffft.
Oh, you think SHE’S got the GOP batshit-sleazy-crazy blues …
“This video does not exist because I have never behaved in this way, and any characterization otherwise is false.”
He’s all in. Should be simple from here on out.
Yeah, that was last week. He, unfortunately, needs serious help for his mental issues.
She just lies.
Exactly.
Obviously the story could go either way - be true or false - but Ellison is clearly despised by the right, and I wouldn’t put it past the GOP to pay off Ellis’s ex-gf to confirm any dirt they invent. So, for the time being, I’m in a wait and see mode on these charges.
It’s unfortunate and troubling that MN DFLr’ers have to make their decisions while these charges are in the air and unresolved, but clearly someone wanted it that way for political advantage.
I think most of us are thinking ‘who shot the video’ in a private bedroom?
Until Monahan and her son substantiate this, it is vengeful malarky.
Rudi Giuliani?
Denying is even worse. Definitely toast.
Denying as opposed to…?
OK, I know it’s Sunday, but this seems like something to appear in the tabloids.
I think this is a story to cover whatever Devin Nunes is up to in Azerbaijan. Surely solving a 25-year-old refugee problem or patching things up with the Armenians is not high on the list, so why is he there?
I smell a rat. Let’s call him Roger Stone.
Perhaps not OT. The Guardian has a story about the renewed effort by ALEC to reinvigorate the conservative drive to a Constitutional Convention. Link:
As I read it, I wondered if more bad news for Dems would soon follow.
Watching live feeds (Reuters and … RT???) I guessed 30 or so alt-Reichers and 1000s of counter-demonstrators.
The highlight for me was when, after making unfocused and almost incoherent remarks, Kessler asked which speaker wished to go next, none did, so he selected a wackadoodle from New Orleans who started out saying that the US is nearly as unfree as NK, that the US was freer in 1860, and that the Communist Manifesto is being steadily implemented in the current day US. I am not sure he meant to attribute all this to the current administration . . .
“Ellison’s Democratic opponents pounced on the allegations. State Rep. Debra Hilstrom circulated the initial Facebook post Saturday …”
Shame on Ms Hilstrom. Disgusting woman. Typical Democratic party shill: attacking their own, rather than the repug scum destroying the country.
Could be she did.
OT, but this is a bombshell in Michigan. Medicare and Medicaid abuse? The doctors at this hospital were the worst offenders.
The Justice Department said in documents that Beaumont violated the federal False Claims Act by engaging in improper relationships with eight referring physicians that led to the submission of false claims to the Medicare, Medicaid and the military Tricare programs.
Having lived a long life and having known a lot of nice people who had some pretty horrendous break-ups, I always have a problem when one partner out of a relationship starts claiming verbal abuse, etc. Not saying it doesn’t happen, because surely it does. But I have been happily married 35 years and have never lifted a hand to my wife, but if there were videos of the few knock down drag outs we have had edited artfully to show my bulging neck veins and contorted face yelling in anger, it would not be a good look. Those moments are what apologies, flowers and Amazon gift cards are for.
The frequency of claims of abuse by ex-spouses is very high. It is not unusual for men to be accused of molestation to gain custody for the woman. I have huge problems believing claims which are part of break-ups.
It is very difficult to have lived with another for many years (37 in my case) without having a fair number of verbal confrontations, especially early on and during the years of child-raising. I too have never raised a hand against my wife (having watched my father do that on occasion), but I have said things which I later regretted, as has my wife. There are bounds neither of us have crossed, however.
