Discussion: Kavanaugh Won't Say Whether He Believes There's Widespread Voter Fraud

Kavanaugh: I have no thoughts, I have no feelings. I know nothing about current events or about history. I don’t remember the past, even my own, and I have no plans for and can’t predict the future. I won’t answer questions about hypotheticals, and I won’t answer questions about existing cases.

Now put me on the Supreme Court!

Question: If he refuses to answer any questions, why are we even holding hearings?

OT: Burt Reynolds just passed away at 82.

Thank you for sharing the laughs and your talent with us.

Jesus on a Allosaurus, this is a no-brainer. It’s a statistical fact that voter fraud is a miniscule occurrence out of total votes cast.

THE COURTS AGREE!!

Courts Agree: Fraud by Voters at the Polls is Nearly Non-Existent

The verdict is in from every corner that voter fraud is sufficiently rare that it simply could not and does not happen at the rate even approaching that which would be required to “rig” an election. Electoral integrity is key to our democracy, and politicians who genuinely care about protecting our elections should focus not on phantom fraud concerns, but on those abuses that actually threaten election security.

Boy’s either a wise guy or a bag of shit.

How does Kavanaugh’s avoidance of any substantive answers compare to other recent Supreme Court nominees?

Isn’t it interesting that Republicans (Ben Sasse right now) are obsessing about mistakes the Supreme Court has made in the past? - That makes me convinced that they expect Kavanaugh to assist in the overturn of Roe vs. Wade. (“See, precedent or even established law doesn’t matter because the court was just wrong.”) Frightening.

I hope one of our Senators asks him if he believes President Obama is a US citizen.

OT but here’s some more trump ego… and I find trump comparing his writing to Hemingway’s insulting and disturbing. That Jeanne Moos deals with it is appropriate.

I’ll take both. (Kavanaugh has the same air of condescension that Gorsuch has exhibited but with a touch of “I’m also a choirboy” added to the mix.)

Trump himself and his Russian buddies have done more to destroy our election systems than any Mexican immigrant. I have voted at the same polling place since 1980 and in that time there have been Two (2) instances of people tryig to vote inappropriately. Now admittedly I can only speak for one polling place but it is rather close to the Mexican border.

This is a guy who dissenting arguing that Trump was allowed to hold up an abortion for a 17 year old being held in detention, because the person appointed her guardian - when someone was found - should be allowed to weigh in. In doing so he ignored that a Texas Judge had already granted the parental notification bypass making findings that she could herself make the decision.

That was a “FACT” that was not just in the record, but had been found by a prior Judge.

So Kavanaugh saying he wants to look at the facts in the record? That is a load of BS. Kavanaugh will ignore the facts in the record when it serves his ideological predilections. Lets just be clear, this guy is not an honest conservative, he is an ideologue, not to mention a dishonest hack.

So Trump only got 2 votes there?

Klobuchar: “Judge Kavanaugh, do you believe in mom and apple pie?”

Kavanaugh: “Senator, there’s discussion of these issues.”

Klobuchar: “But, surely, you believe in THOSE?”

Kavanaugh: “As a sitting judge, I would want to see a record before me of a particular case.”

Klobuchar: “But EVERYONE believes in mom and apple pie!”

Kavanaugh: “I hesitate to opine.”

Klobuchar: (Screams string of profanities and rushes witness table)

Kavanaugh lives in a tightly sealed Federalist Society bubble, safe from any unpleasant realities of the world.
