Discussion: Kavanaugh Set To Call Allegations 'Grotesque' 'Character Assassination'

You know what’s really grotesque? Having a sexual predator on the Supreme Court making decisions about women and our health and safety. That’s grotesque, Bret.

If Brett had gone the contrition route, admitted to some mistakes, pleaded youthful indiscretion, this would all be over and he would be on the court today.

But being a belligerent asshole is one of his defining features.

How about trying ā€˜high-tech lynching?’ That one worked 20-some years ago.

Character assassination perpetrated by a young Brett Kavanaugh about 35 years ago, and grotesque is correct.

ā€œOh my god! Gag me with a spoon! It’s, like, grody, man!ā€ - Brett Kavanaugh, 1982 high school calendar.

ā€œHe would say that, wouldn’t he ?ā€

Remember when BK was Ken Starr’s attack dog leaking (illegally) to the press and working hard to convince the nation that Vince Foster was murdered by his best friends and that Bill Clinton’s consensual affair in the WH was the worst sin ever committed and worthy of perjury conviction/impeachment, such that Clinton needed to be taken apart ā€œpiece by painful pieceā€?

Yeah, neither does he. Must have blacked out from those famous two beers he admits to drinking.

Well known liar says what?

It’s a tale of two narratives: sainthood-from-birth vs. the redemption song. He’s been stiffly Galahading the first, but now for purposes of verisimilitude, he’s slipped in a couple of phrases from the other. Very dangerous.

ā€œI drank beer… Sometimes too many.ā€

  • So when and how did you change your habits? College? After college? Have you changed?

ā€œIn retrospect, I said and did things in high school that make me cringe now.ā€

  • And what might these have been? Did they involve other people? Did they involve crimes?

The way in is through the door.

Now watch the Sky Pilots tie the English language into knots claiming that this is ā€˜no big deal’ and that we shouldn’t have an FBI investigation but they just KNOW he’s the victim here.

Then they wonder why more and more young people are calling them hypocrites and turning their backs on the church.

Another set if lies…

Starting with ā€œLast minute allegationsā€ā€¦ No, repubs have known for weeks

Wow. I wonder who wrote that for him? Couldn’t have anything to do with the entourage of people he’s been ā€œcoachedā€ by at the White House and the Senate over the past week?

A nominee worth considering wouldn’t need hours-long ā€œstrategy sessionsā€, rushed hearings, inflexible processes, appearances on Fox ā€œnewsā€, and fluffers everywhere pretending to like the guy.

But, I suppose it’s to be expected. He’s not just fighting for confirmation now. He’s fighting for his future as a free man and his career (and possibly his marriage?). If there’s any truth to this small mountain of allegations, he and Mark Judge could be facing criminal charges on top of everything else.

Impeached from the bench and possible jail time? The rest of his life? That’s what he’s fighting for now, not a SCOTUS confirmation. ā€œGrotesque Character Assassinationā€ā€¦ extreme words for desperate times.

  1. His statement admits that he’s willing to sacrifice his own family to (his probably imaginary) ā€œvile threats of violenceā€ to satiate his own ambition.
  2. Not a single mention of what’s good for the country or good for the reputation of the Supreme Court. His statement reads like an opera singer warming up: Mi mi mi mi mi!
  3. NOW he admits that he wasn’t always an angel, contradicting his prior self portrayal. So was he lying then or is he lying now? Also, when did he stop beating his wife? Or at least talking over her and answering her questions for her? Fucker.
