This is something that happened decades ago. It is entirely possible they are both telling the “truth” as they recall it. We have statutes of limitations for a reason, but apparently they don’t apply to well timed “Me Too” allegations.
That said I really want Kavenaugh’s nomination to fail, but to fail for any number of well documented lies he has told the Senate straight up.
Kavanaugh also insisted that, if Ford testifies, “the music should be turned up really, really loud so, you know, nobody can hear her.”

With all due respect, a statute of limitations pertains to criminal liability, and no one is filing criminal charges against Kavanaugh. Rather, Ford is coming forward because of the extraordinarily elevated role that a Supreme Court Justice play in our society. And when you read the background to her complaint, the delay actually makes sense.
Totally expected from her, though.
First question he’s publicly asked should be whether he’s willing to undergo a polygraph. She did it and passed. I want ot watch him fucking squirm.
I have two thoughts on his logic:
- It was not attempted Rape, he had no other intention than to simply grope her. He will try to use this justification to claim he is not lying and sight Bill Clinton as precedent.
- If Judge is not willing to testify for Kavanaugh it points to the fact that Kavanaugh is guilty more than if he also testifies.
I have no doubt that Grassley will require that the hearing room be locked when he tries to have his way with Ms. Ford. And there will be complicit guys who look on.
