I canāt help think that Roberts is wanting this nomination to go away. As damaging as this confirmation process (so far) has been to the Court, having articles of impeachment drawn up against Kavanaugh (perjury, attempted rape, and probably some financial shenanigans) will do much more to the institution.
That said, I think after all is said and done, Collins & Murkowski will vote to confirm and we will have a second Supreme Court Justice with a history of sexual abuse on the benchā¦
