Give him a little of the old “This must be very hard on you and your family. I never meant to subject you to anything like this. It’s so unfair. If you felt it was too much, I would understand.” #ETTD #whereisdrronny
I thought the coffee was supposed to be ready by seven ? ? …
f’ing slacker ! —
Probably swapping conquest stories with each other. Har-har-har.

Who would have ever guessed Trump would pick the Ronny Jackson of the legal system? Nothing but the “best people” here. Trump has a preternatural ability to sniff out other predators and he’s amoral enough to nominate them for key government positions.
I think WE CAN all agree that THE DEEP STATE is behind THIS attack ON Kavanaugh and THAT TRUMP will USE ALL OF HIS INTELLIGENCE acquired over the YEARS at BEING A SUCCESSFUL businessman GET him on the SUPREME court.
One more in a long line of people who seem to ignore history. When Trump says “Trust me, it is going to be a piece of cake!” , Run like hell and do not look back.
I’m going to give a good portion of the blame to Kavanaugh here. He’s got a lot of skeletons and you have to know that high position comes with a lot of scrutiny. He just walked right into it. Hubris, is all you can say.
You say hubris. I say Federalist Society.
Same thing, really.
There’s a certain Catch-22 element at work here, too. Some of his skeletons involve his extreme positions, both anti-Clinton and pro-Bush. But had he not taken those positions, he wouldn’t have floated to the surface sufficiently to be considered as a SCOTUS nominee.
Seth Meyers is really good here:
(The dig on Orin Hatch towards the end is priceless)
If he were just going to tell the truth there would be no need for all these meetings.
It’s possible that kavanaugh has a different kind of hubris. He looks like the kind who lusts after money and power (especially the power to hurt others) and thinks no one can bring him down. But he might also be the kind who thinks he’s on a Mission from God, and that only he can bring america back into the 17th century. In that case, he would have been willing to take the risks in the service of his mission. Also hubris, but ickier.
Among other questions for Kavanagh, which the Dems should ask: “Will you support having the purported witness, Mark Judge, testify here under oath?”
If he has nothing to hide, he’ll support it. If he won’t support it, the question can and should make him and his Senate supporters real nervous.
The consolation prize is Ambassador to Suriname.
He can even support it knowing that Judge is in the tank for him and that Grassley is unlikely to permit more testimony. But his initial reaction will be a tell.
Mike Pence might not take kindly to an interloper on his turf.
We already know Trump’s advice will be (from “Fear” by Bon Woodward):
“You’ve got to deny, deny, deny and push back on these women. If you admit to anything and any culpability, then you’re dead.”
“You’ve got to be strong. You’ve got to be aggressive. You’ve got to push back hard. You’ve got to deny anything that’s said about you. Never admit.”
This is really juvenile. But I think some Senators should practice mispronouncing his name as “Bart”. Of course, in the formal questioning it is Judge O’Kavanaugh.
