It’s not a belief, it’s reality. Donald Trump has committed countless crimes over his lifetime. He’s screwed small businesses out of millions. He’s denied housing to thousands of minority rental applicants. He launders money for the Russians. He’s stolen charity money from his own foundation for personal use. The list would make a book. Yet he’s never been called to account for it, at least in a serious manner that caused him harm or great inconvenience.
If “protected and superior” means getting away with a slew of crimes to no apparent detriment then yes, these miscreants are protected and superior.
