Discussion: Kasich Warns GOP Leaders Not To 'Jam' Repeal Bill Through House

That’s excellent advice.

@srfromgr I really believe we’re going to be ok.

This is what horrifies me the most about this entire process. While their incompetence is front and center in terms of passing their own bill, they will still weaken and eventually destroy the ACA.

They aren’t going to have the majority forever. Who knows what might happen when we get it back. If the ACA has become irretrievable, then we just might be able to get single payer.

Excerpt:

Groups – including American Bridge, the liberal super PAC and opposition research firm led by longtime Clinton adviser David Brock – have found out through polls and focus groups that voters who backed Obama in 2008 but Trump in 2016 are more swayed by Trump’s plans to repeal the Affordable Care Act than they are by other issues.

Longtime Democratic operative James Carville bluntly told donors at an American Bridge summit in Florida earlier this year: “The mover on health care loses; to do something is to lose.”

Murphy trolls Ryan. Press ignores.

At this point they would be held responsible for the sabotage, too.

I don’t think the hit to them is so bad. Nobody in a district more than R+5 has anything to worry about. Maybe ten lost seats.

I figure they’ll man up and repeal.

Who is “they” here?

You don’t think the hit is so bad. Ok.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Yeah that 11 million popular vote loss, the millions demonstrating and all of the angry constituents flooding Congress peoples’ offices, town halls, etc. don’t amount to much. The fact that more people have turned out to try to save the ACA than at just about any other time in our history, and the fact that they are a solid majority all mean that it won’t be so bad.

I hope they do man up, but that I believe is impossible for the GOP. Even if the House passes it, the Senate isn’t going to.

Let them do it, then. See what happens next.

We have to win 2020!

We have to win next year.

That’s more important than 2020 as far as I’m concerned.

I saw the show also, but I am not sure she never had a chance. Yeah – we were dealing with so many irrational propagandized voters on both left and right. However, I think she would have squeaked through if not for Comey’s deliberate monkey wrench at very last minute and the press going hog wild over it. Notice Comey’s been held over by Trump and everyone else is expelled. He is such a snake.

Stop the troll nonsense, please. Bernie did enough damage all by himself, without any Russian assistance.

And sure, the Russian really cared about that strong Stein’s campaign, right?. Tin foil hats, anyone?

Bernie wasn’t helped by the Russians, Bernie was used by the Russians.

And Stein is up to her eyebrows in Putin - I guess you haven’t seen the pictures.

If Kasich is trying to move Republicans, “Where will the addicts go?” is too sympathetic to addicts.
Better to answer his question directly: “The addicts will be selling Xanax to your grandkids, begging in the streets, shoplifting, and all-around CRIME-ING.” Scaring the fuck out of old people should come naturally.

I no longer have faith in any polling, and I don’t care whose organization has done it. She was on a downhill trajectory unbeknownst to us beginning mid-June. trumPP won and did poorly in every poll known to man. That’s how reliable they are.

@feathered_head

Maybe she had a chance, but we can’t be sure. Just so people don’t cite polls which had her up everywhere because trumpp was down in the polls for the duration of the campaign, and he won much to his own surprise

A friend, John Morrill (who, sadly, died last year) did the camera work for the movie. He particularly liked it – though working with Don was evidently another matter.

Nobody wants that TrumpRyan care crap :poop:

But remain the GoP staunch party member if you must! Just remember, you won’t have the last say!

I hope so, but in the meantime, we have our “leaders” (nice alliteration there, BTW) waving their dicks around, trying to exercise “hard power”, and neglecting vital opportunities to start using psyops like the Eastern trolls have been doing to us for a while. We’re going to be behind the curve and wasting billions of dollars on hardware, letting these opportunities slip away. I have many bad feelings about all of this; I wish I could be as optimistic as you seem.
