Discussion for article #245872
The crazier the candidate, the better they poll in South Carolina.
Anyone else not shocked?
NN’s Jamie Gangel asked Kasich about Republican presidential rival Jeb Bush’s campaign arguing that Kasich “has nothing in South Carolina."
“We’re going to compete here. We don’t expect to win here,” Kasich replied. “But on the other hand, if you take a look at the person that says that, they spent like well over $100 million—something along that—and they got like nothing.”
Ouch! Advantage Kasich. If Jeb brings that bit of logic to a debate stage, he’s going to make Rubio look good in comparison.
Expectations Game 101
That seems to me to be a reasonable assessment.
Watch out Trump. If Kasich can pick up Cristie and Fiorina supporters he might crack the margin of error.
I have to say that I’m surprised about Trump’s numbers.
He’s a brash, blow-hard, loud-mouthed New Yorker. A Yankee of the worst stereotye. So I am surprised.
Cruz is not a true southerner and doesn’t even fake it well, though.
