Discussion: Kasich Rails Against Trump In Presser: He's 'Not Prepared' To Be Prez

Wow, I wouldn’t want to be Kasich’s wife over the next few days.

I saw part of that presser on tv and he didn’t come across as being very coherent It appeared to be a large word salad with a helping of sour grapes. The fact is, it’s too late for Kasich. (Case in point: in OH, he only won by getting a plurality of 46% of the state he’s currently the governor of. Yikes).

He would be a HUGE fool to try to game out a place at the 2016 convention which most surely will be contested. Kasich is firmly embedded in the establishment of the GOP and for him to bank on the Party putting him at the top of the ticket is political suicide. It would be much better for him to just wait it out until 2020 and see what’s left of the GOP at that point.

Kasich: Trump could destroy “civilization as we know it.”

Until the general.

When Kasich and the entire GOP establishment will backpedal and put party above country.

As always.
For ever and ever.
Amen.

Kasich is stating the obvious, except for anything he may have said suggesting he thinks women are people.

Blah blah blah “his comments are divisive” blah blah blah. “His comments” this and “his comments” that, and blah blah blah blah blah.
But where do any “establishment” repubs differ with him on policy?

Or don’t they?

I do hope someone in the media is keeping a scorecard of those who, after slamming Drumpf, turn around and end up supporting him anyway. Someone? Anyone? Perhaps Rachel Maddow but other than her, I won’t keep my hopes up. Certainly none of the Sunday talk show pundits will. By then they will have turned away from the GOP convention and who the GOP have picked so they can heavily (and negatively) focus on the Democratic candidate.

Kasich has long criticized Trump’s rhetoric in town halls and debates, but took it a step further at his New York City news conference by suggesting that Trump could destroy “civilization as we know it.”

Well, no one has ever lost money betting on cockroaches and rats.

Whaddya call that pathology when you talk trash about someone else but are really talking about your own shortcomings? Starts with a P, putz?, picklemeister? It escapes me.

Good point. I mean, we all know they’re going to do this anyway, but this time it’s going to be 100% negative. They will have nothing good to say about their candidate, so every single utterance about the election will be a smear on the Demonrat nominee. Every freaking word.
And of course, the Dem nominee will have plenty to say about Trump. I predict some “both sides do it” articles in our future.
"New Extremes in Negative Campaigning; Both Parties to Blame"

At least 5% of Kasich’s win was Democrats crossing over to stop Trump and they will vote D in the fall.

Or he has incrementally tried to defund PP.

Now that Rump really has exposed the man behind the curtain regarding the “pro life” agenda (e.g., outlawing abortion leads to criminalizing abortion leads to women being prosecuted for murder), all Rethugs are scrambling to move the curtain back into place.

Yes, Governor (and I use the word “govern” quite loosely) Kasich, Donald Trump is not prepared to be President, so it looks as though you have a lot more in common with the idiot motherfucker than you think in that peach pit brain of yours.

“If I don’t say something about it, then I really feel as though, as a public official, that I’m not doing my job.”

So true. Now, if you can just get a few more “leaders” of your “party” to do their jobs, things might begin to creep toward improvement.
