Taxation without representation is tyranny only if you plan to vote Republican. You should also be white and preferably Jesus loving.
âWell look, I am not â I donât â I am not, because you know what, what it really gets down to if you want to be honest is my hair is always a little bit nappy,â Kasich said.
He says that like itâs a bad thing.
So, he´s all for democracy, just as long as certain people can´t vote.
Nothing inconsistent about that.
Utah being a state just gives more votes to Republicans.
And they say politicians donât get it. Listen to this man dropping little pearls of wisdom.
Iâm just surprised he didnât say âDemocrat Partyâ.
UmmâŚthose arenât pearls. Or wisdom. And DO NOT put them in your mouth!!
Having lived in the D.C. 'burbs for several decades (no longer), Iâve long thought that the real solution to the problem would be to return D.C. to the State of Maryland. The residents then get represented by two Senators, and by one Representative. So, the only Congressional change would be the addition of one voting Representative, plus the abolition of various city-meddling Congressional committees.
This would also help with other, related problems, like jurisdictional battles over Metro funding. It would make it easier to address public education problems, since D.C. would simply be a city in Maryland with suburbs, rather than being part of a completely separate tax base. The list goes on.
This attitude needs to leave our politics. The âanything for my party to gain powerâ attitude is corrosive to the freedoms that all Americans are supposed to enjoy.
I love democracy except if more Democrats vote!
âI just donât see that we really need that, OK"âŚbecause some people (that would just be Democrats) donât need representationâŚdoncha; all GET it?
There is not a single short pinkyâs worth of decorum left in the GOP.
âWell look, I am not â I donât â I am not, because you know what, what it really gets down to if you want to be honest is because they know thatâs just more votes in the Democratic Party,â Kasich said.
So, because they have a history of voting Democratically (and itâs a heavily African-American voter base) they donât deserve representation. Is that what youâre saying, Guv? Got it. You racist pig.
Yeah, okay, well look
A fumbling, grifting, misogynist bigot says what?
Washington Post associate editorial page editor Jo-Ann Armao noted that D.C. residents serve in the military and pay taxes despite not having voting representation.
Im curious if any DC resident has taken this to court. Seems to me, at least, they have a great case.

FIFY, John.
That makes the most sense, and I would guess the 3 Electoral Votes now with DC for Presidential Elections would get added to Maryland, giving MD 13 Electoral Votes.
Statehood seems silly. Just make it part of a bordering state, and MD is the logical choice. VA would be better for Demâs since VA is more of a swing state for Presidential Elections, but Iâd prefer not to be bias and go with the logical choice, MD.
Taxation Without Representation? Sure, as long as itâs the Blah People and the Democrat Party.
Signed,
The GOP
