Discussion for article #231742
Common Core has nothing to do with Obama, you dolt.
Funny, the fatal flaw of any potential run by John Ellis is the fact he is a Bush.
When has that ever stopped an idiotic conservatard meme?
Karl, Common Core is NOT the biggest challenge he faces. The biggest challenge is his last name.
Um, pretty sure Jeb’s biggest weakness is his connection to his brother, not to President Obama.
Karl Rove sure is a political genius, ain’t he? They don’t call him Turd Blossom for lack of trying.
Maybe he can find more of other people’s money to throw in the street.
No kidding. I am shocked Rove has been “disappeared”.
You could fill a small town with the number of people that have been killed for far less… basically setting $400 million of someone else’s money they entrusted you with on fire, live on television (2012 election night)… I know I certainly would not be getting on any planes for the rest of my life. (wry grin)
RomneyCare didn’t see to hurt Mitt Romney in the republican primary, what makes anyone think that immigration or Common Core will hinder Jeb Bush. Republicans will pick a candidate who they think has the best shot of defeating Hillary Clinton, should she decide to run and get the nomination. Let’s not over think this thing.
- Unemployment is below 6%
- Cheapest gas in years
- Economy growing at 5%
- Dow close to 18,000
I’m sure the voters are thinking, “What we need now is another Bush.” /s
That’s what they did last time.
Umm, yes Karl, because no skilled politician could possibly turn something like perceived common ground with one’s political foes into a positive talking point.
"The question is, how can he defend high academic standards which he
believes in, when it has been conflated with the Obama administration."
Oh, Mr TurdFace. Common Core has NOTHING to do with Obama, except that Obama is black. Just like your ugly shadow.
Jeb’s biggest weakness is George Jr. That is when your brother was the worst president in the history, of course George’s advisors will try to find something else to change the subject, but unnecessary and lost wars combined with turning surplus to debt and prosperity to recession make George the elephant in the room. Add to it Jeb will be running against a Clinton, legacy of peace, surplus and prosperity, and to compare makes Jeb unelectable.
So ya, if I am supporting Jeb I want to talk about Common Core.
To me, he’s like Fox Noise in that they’re good, only, for a laugh.
This election is going to be fun, fun, fun.
Yet the voters just turned the Senate over to the party that passed all those horrible Bush Bills.
This is Rovian strategic maneuvering. By saying JBush is close to Obama, he suggests that JB is a moderate, which he is not. This positioning helps him in the general and although can cause a little trouble in the primaries, it is to his benefit to don a sheep’s clothing, as it were. I would bet that Rove supports JBush; he’s a Bush family retainer, isn’t he?
The last I looked, winning Presidential elections requires getting the most votes.* In the last election, Obama’s margin of victory over Romney was greater than W.s’ total margins of victory in 2000 and 2004. Maybe having some connection with Obama is not the worst thing for a Republican.
*Although I can see why Rove might be confused on this point.
The Bush name is Jeb’s biggest obstacle. I don’t think the country is ready for another Bush. If Jeb Bush was smart he would focus on his son becoming president someday. I think Jeb Bush’s ego and people whispering to him to run has pushed him to a very bad decision. I think the majority of Americans still have bad feelings about George W. Bush and having another Bush in the WH.
