I so very much wish the Muhammad Ali of 40-50 years ago could come back and handle Trump, the guy who said, “if you even dream of beating me, you’d better wake up and apologize”. He would eviscerate him.

Yeah, Float like a butterfly – sting like a bee.

“We as Muslims have to stand up to those who use Islam to advance their own personal agenda.”

Ali is speaking about ISIS here, but it surely references Trump just as much. Jabbar is right. Trump does have more in common with Islamic State than America.

“True Muslims know or should know that it goes against our religion to try and force Islam on anybody.” (Muhammad Ali)

True Christians feel the same way about Christianity. It is such a shame that it takes a climate of such fear, hate and hostility to remind folks of this.

Sweet. Muslim superstar athlete calmly responds to Trumps racism, while the unspoken subtext is, “The Donald is a totally fucking idiot for saying there are no Muslim athletes.”

Don’t miss reading the entirety of the piece by Abdul-Jabbar.
This is exactly how Trump should be described, discussed, and disseminated.

I think this would be a good time for Trump’s Muslim ‘friends?’ to step up and talk about their own perspective on Islam. (note: just because there is a Muslim in the foursome in front of you doesn’t mean you can include that guy in your circle of friends, which is another thing, does Trump even have friends?) It would be instructive if we could hear from the Muslims that are calling Trump to say what a great idea it is to shit on their people. Are there any a’'hole members of the press who could approach Mr.The Donald and ask him about his friends? Any friends will do, but how 'bout them Muslims?

In a war of words I think you are correct.

Why aren’t Christians asked to stand up against those who use Christianity to advance their own personal agenda?

That was a hell of a take down.

…Like Westboro Baptist Church , to name the most blatant. Never saw huge gatherings of Baptists protesting them at dead soldiers’ funerals .

Today’s Xian-inanity is an insidious tool used to strike fear and loathing among the followers…

in the name of Jesus (or for Chri$harians, Je$u$).
