Discussion: Kansas Has Spoken: Obama Has Higher Approval Rating Than Gov. Brownback

Discussion for article #242167

The voters in Kansas were very unhappy with Brownback before his reelection, and for some unknown reason they voted in back into office. NOW, they really hate the job he’s doing? You get what you vote for.

Yet, Kansas will vote for him again if he runs for re-election. Facts are too liberal and AmeriKan Jesus.

Just watch. The Okies from Muskogees will gladly hand him another turn, after they’ve forgotten what happened yesterday, and the day before that, and … Memory is fleeting, or non-existent, with these Okies. A microcosm of the GOP, in general, and too often, of the entire voting population in America.

I never knew the citizens of Oklahoma get to elect the governor of Kansas. I guess that answers the question, “What’s the Matter with Kansas?”

In some states, polls are meaningless.

If Brownback were polling under 10%, his SG has so much power and control over the voter rolls & registration & vote apparatus, and GOP-friendly firms do all the voting machines. he could announce this afternoon his intent to run for reelection in say 2018 and the Dems may just as well concede.

Tecmage: The last I heard, there was a big investigation afoot to look into massive voter fraud in KS. The word was out about school closings, disastrous financial policy, etc., before the last election. That’s the only thing that would account for people electing someone so contrary to their own welfare. Either that, or there really is something in the water…

Well he’s in good shape then. All you need is 15 % to get re-elected in Kansas.

I wonder what country those 18% think they live in?

What does it matter? Unless his ass gets tossed from office once it falls below a certain threshold…who cares?

Governor Brownback is polling poorly? Not a problem. Kansas just needs more tax cuts!

They reelected him last year, with all of this already apparent. They’d do it again. Anything but a D.

Eighteen percent? So you’re saying there is a chance?

Wow. Still haven’t figgered it out, it seems.

The reason he got re-elected is due to the current status of the D Party. Rural voters will not vote D. Period. Because the D Party has NOTHING to offer a rural voter. The D Party is ENTIRELY a party considering special ethnic, gender, and sexual-identification interests. None of these are of any interest to rural voters.

Brownback would still win, regardless of how stupid his policies are.

And the “What’s the matter with Kansas?” question? This is really quite simple. People seldom vote on policies. You can INTELLECTUALLY define your party as this or that, and voters pay no attention. It’s the overall impression. The D Party impression today is that it is the party of gays, women, and illegals.
