Discussion: Kamala Harris Claims She Had 'Reliable' Info About Kavanaugh Convo On Mueller Probe

“The revelation, however, turned out to be somewhat anti-climatic.”

Please leave the climate denials to the bad guys.

I’m not sure it was even anti-climactic. His hand-in-the-cookie-jar response to the first 15 versions of the question pretty much proved he’s hiding something.

What’s that saying about “Successful lawyers never ask questions they don’t already know the answer to”?

One day later: “The answer is no,” Kavanaugh said, likely lying through his teeth. But Kamala knows.

I wonder if she wanted to get a no from him before releasing the info she has …. though time is running out. Does she get another opportunity to question him before this ends?

“The subject of the question is you and whether you were part of a conversation regarding special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation,” Harris said.

“The answer is no,” Kavanaugh said.

And now it’s on record.

From which it will haunt your broken dreams and shattered reputation until the day you die.

Like a careless night of drunken revelry that forever ruined a once-promising life.

Crush him.

Then spill the tea, Kamala. Dump it, nice and hot, right on the front of his pants.

Put another way:

“If you are confirmed after this truncated and concealed process, there will always be a taint, there will always be an asterisk after your name: ‘Appointed by a president named as an unindicted co-conspirator, after the vast majority of documents relating to the most instructive period of his life were concealed.’”
— Sen. Richard Blumenthal

Some people need a claim to fame, I guess, whatever the cost.

So Kasowitz denies this conversation took place. Isn’t he the one with alcohol issues?

It’s possible that she was just trying to get under his skin and psych him out. It’s his reactions that are revealing.

But that’s only if “Deer meets Headlights” reactions are considered revealing.

Perhaps she doesn’t have any real proof except maybe someone told her that he saw Kavanaugh go into Kazowitz’ building or something. From what I understand the DC law circuit is very tight and everybody knows everybody else. Mr. K. surely knows Kazowitz’ top attorneys. She may have been fishing for a reaction as opposed to outright nailing him. And she was rewarded. He didn’t pass the “Turing test.”

Maybe she’ll release her info at 3am.

I hope to hell Senator Harris has something concrete with which she can back this up, because if she doesn’t, then even if I believe her it was stupid, terrible politics.

I so hope you are right.

I loved her for this too:

Why? She never committed herself to anything except that she had it on good account. She just wanted to hear Mr. K’s side of it.

If she knew, she should have nailed him. Or she should have been prepared to bring her source to the committee room and get the source to testify under oath.
