Discreetly fileting the K-RATS. Nice touch, Justice Ginsburg
I thought the Voting Rights Act provisions got struck down because this was not a problem anymore.
The Notorious RBG strikes again!
Spoken like a true white person. Black people have known this for 400 years
Reading comprehension isnât your forte, is it?
This was a classy way of publicly telling John Roberts that he is out of touch with reality.
Roberts, Scalia, (his lap dog Thomas), Alito, Kennedy: "Whuuutâ racism???"
âDred Scottâ isnât dead, itâs simply hiding in the Five Con Coporate Whore Justicesâ twisted and tortuously conceived concept of âequal sovereignty.â
Iâve been saying this forever. Gay people are not a separate class of people.
Gay people are not the people across the tracks. A gay person is the member of your team who has a secret. As a member of your team he enjoys all the benefit that any other member of your team enjoys, until he decides (according to his own timing) to come out of the closet, at which point he endures whatever response your team places on homosexual behavior.
It is fundamentally different from being a of another race, which is undeniable and known before you are born.
What Ginsburg is calling public acceptance or âfamiliarityâ that black people donât have that gay people do have is actually âsamenessâ.
The majority of gay people in the US (most gay people in the US are white) are same as the majority of the people in the US (most people in the US are white). Itâs not simply a case of being familiar; itâs a case of there being no duality at all.
âOnce [gay] people began to say who they were, you found that it was your next-door neighbor or it could be your child, and we found people we admired,â
âit could be your childâ or in other words, âthe same as you.â
The fact that one man is outside your family and the other man is not, makes all the difference in the world. One person is trying to convince their own mother; the other person is trying to convince a total stranger.
