That was pretty fast, which worries me just a little…
Never mind that. Was the Rolex found guilty of being a bribe or can it go back to a life of being an honest watch?
That district is known as the “rocket docket” division. This is normal.
As penance, it will have to be seen wearing a Timex band.
Rather quick which could mean open and shut case. On the other hand a quick decision usually means no convictions.
According to WaPo, they have spent 17 hours in deliberations, spread over 3 days. Not really that quick.
WaPo livestream:
WITH GOD AS MY WITNESS, IF I HAD KNOWN I COULD GET CAUGHT I NEVER WOULD HAVE DONE IT!
Charge One: GUILTY! for both Bob and Mo
ed: The charge was conspiracy to commit interstate wire fraud
Given the complexities of the case that is not a long time when applying legal standards with the judge’s instructions. So not requesting additional instruction or clarification of law, and most importantly, reporting some division and the judge imploring them to seek consensus, I think it is quick. Whether quick or not the jury is moving in unison.
Guilty on all charges. Rick Perry is next!
Which flavor of popcorn goes well with a nice, chilled glass of Schadenfreude?
Convictions across the board. Justice won.
I’m glad their sexist “it was all the crazy wife’s fault” defense fell flat.
Give him Don Siegelman’s old cell and let Don out.
Poor Mo. She’s breaking down in court as she is convicted on all but 1 charge.
Boom!!!
Convicted 12:09 PT
Rick Perry, Scott Walker, and Chris Christie must be shitting their pants.
