Yeah, he will complain that the justice system is rigged. Loser.

I was going to say I’m grateful for small victories, but that makes it sound as though this were something other than a completely justifiable outcome. I think we’ve all come to expect constant perversions of justice and decency, so anything “normal” seems somehow remarkable.

So, free speech is still not crime…yet.

Viva la Resistance! (but try not to destroy property or injure others).

If only they had required that the prosecution had to pay for the defendants’ defense expenses as well. While it is sweet that they were acquitted, they had to go through a show trial and retain defense counsel, not to mention lost wages and travel expenses.
They should not have to pay for being used as a pacifier for an adult toddler.

Unfortunately, the most likely lesson here for law enforcement is to up their rape and torture game next time so the “suspects” won’t dare to plead not guilty.

The prosecution also used video supplied to them by Project Veritas…

Grounds for disbarment.

“Government prosecutors did not attempt to prove that any of the defendants had personally committed acts of violence or vandalism. Instead they argued that the entire group of protesters, many of whom wore face masks, was guilty…”

Seriously?

SERIOUSLY???

Welcome to “justice” in the Age of Trump.

“Due process? We don’t need no stinking due process!”

“Round up the whole bunch and string 'em up. What do you mean ‘who?’ and ‘what did they do?’ The whole bunch, I tell ya.”

“In the trial, prosecutors showed video from a pre-inauguration protest planning meeting that had been infiltrated by a Project Veritas operative.”

Little Jimmy O’Keefe and his douche bros are about as credible as a kindergarten kid with a Fisher Price toy camera.

Honestly, 5 and 6-year olds have more integrity and credibility. I know they would try harder to “get it right.”

The people–the jury–speak. Maybe they can hear it all way to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. But don’t count on it.

Interesting legal theory. Some ant-Trump protestors committed acts of vandalism. You don’t like Trump either. Therefor you are guilt of aiding and abetting.

Government prosecutors did not attempt to prove that any of the defendants had personally committed acts of violence or vandalism, relying instead on the well known fact that “they all look alike to me.”

Depends on who is on the jury.

This is simply appalling.

Good. The charges never should have been filed in the first place, nor the protesters arrested.

The cops and prosecutors overreached so far that the long arm of the law reached clear around the globe and smacked them upside their own heads.

Guilt by association and collective punishment, while ignoring freedom of speech? Uh, no.

Don’t get me wrong – some of the Black Bloc morons should face charges for vandalism and whatnot.

But you don’t get to round up hundreds of people and convict them all of crimes committed by a few.
