Soon it’s going to be easier to list who’s NOT running.

We’re gonna need a bigger bracket.

He should of been the HC’s running mate last time IMO.

I like the Castro brothers but.

They aren’t presidential material. They just aren’t.

Apparently Beto is polling ahead of every other hypothetical candidate.

I agree.

Beto should have won. That race was, to me, the most difficult to take. I still go back to Chris Hayes’ broadcast election night from Beto’s headquarters in which he made a point to stress the fact that Beto and his crew expected to win.

I am not up on Texas politics, but it must have been hard for you to experience.

By the way, Matt has coined a new name for Beto:

“Threato”

The man is a real threat. He is a big boat which will leave a helluva wake.

Well I have rarely seen a candidate like Beto. He has the ability to make people love him. The only other candidates I’ve seen in my life who had that affect on people were Obama and Bobby Kennedy. He’s an amazing candidate.

He shouldn’t have lost but our governor has a really strong machine on the ground and that’s what did it. I had hoped we would have a good candidate running against Abbott but we didn’t.’

Beto should have won. He thought he was going to win - he was sure. We all were. There’s a chance it was rigged - some evoting machine were acting up in early voting.

But it frees him to run if he wants to. He’s a hell of a candidate.

That’s nice…

His “loss” for the Senate has no more political significance than Nixon’s loss for California governor in 1962–before he won the presidency in 1968.

And Nixon was 1/100th as charismatic as Beto.

I don’t think the loss says anything, I agree. If he’d won, he had promised he wouldn’t run for president. He lost so he can run.

Good.

A draft platform would be nice to look at, but even to see how he plans to raise money would be useful information.

OK, since everyone seems to be doing it, I announce dont’s exploratory committee to see if there is any possibility that I can chase this chimera.

I think it’s good that he enters the primary. I don’t think he’ll take it, but we need to have a free and open primary with all voices heard. It’s never hurt the Republicans to have a huge number on the debate stage and it won’t hurt us.

I like Sec. Castro. A lot. Great vice-presidential pick for Sen. Harris.

I saw him speak once. As in this video, he came across as sincerely fake.
