According to the Font of All Knowledge, Brother Feldman here graduated from Tulane in 1957. The clock on the wall says he is pushing (A) 80 years old and, hence, (B) the patience of Father Time.
All of which is to say that he is of a different generation. It’s an outlier. Once Judge Posner brings the lumber in the Seventh Circuit case, this issue will be done and dusted unless the Nine Wise Folks do something really incredible.

The SCOTUS doesn’t bother considering any potential fallout from their rulings (see: Nobody could have predicted the outcome from Citizens United), but this guy does consider them?
So, is he just totally unfit for a future SCOTS position?

Per the judge’s deep thoughts: gay marriage could lead to an aunt and a niece marrying, while heterosexual marriage couldn’t possibly lead to an uncle and a niece marrying.
This guy, like all previous opponents to legal homosexual marriage, resorted to an incoherent set of reasons and a bogus set of “facts” to justify the opposition, because the only real reason they have is that they don’t like the fact that gays exist.

Okay, good question. Why should marriage be limited to two people? My wife and I have a third person in our relationship, why shouldn’t we be allowed to be a legal unit?

He was confirmed by the United States Senate on October 4, 1983, and received his commission the following day.[1]
Feldman was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He received a B.A. from Tulane University in 1955 and a J.D. from Tulane Law School in 1957. He was a United States Army JAG Corps Reserve Captain from 1957 to 1963. Feldman also served as a law clerk to John Minor Wisdom, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit from 1957 to 1959. Feldman had a private practice in New Orleans, Louisiana from 1959 to 1983.[1]
Feldman is one of the judges on the FISA court.[2]

I lived in southern Louisiana in the early 80s, and it was quite common to find married couples who were first cousins. Seems like the horse is already out of that barn.

Shows you exactly why Reid had to go nuclear last year. We need Obama to fill all of his judicial vacancies to try to dilute the crazy as much as possible.
Hopefully with 16 years (8 Obama and 8 Hillary) of Dems we’ll be able to drain the swamp of ideology that Reagan-Bush-Bush (with a Cheney thrown in) created.
Everyone who is pissed off should vote in November, or else no judicial nominees with get through unless turtle approves.

I’ve lived in Louisiana. Rigid laws about sex and the nature of marriage didn’t seem to be at the forefront of the local consciousness there.
Where do these tightly-wound judges and duck call manufacturers live???
