Not a chance the Democrats can stop this, unless a few of the fake “reasonable Republicans” decide to join them. I can see two alternatives:
- Slow things to a crawl; is there any way of throwing enough sand in the gears to keep the hearings going until the election?
- Walk out and boycott the hearings altogether, considering that they’re a sham.
It’s just embarrassing and sad seeing the Democrats unable to do anything about this fucking coup. Republicans boycotted Garland for a year, and now this travesty…

A child born on American soil is be definition a citizen of this country. Our courts have repeatedly upheld Jus Soli and Jus Sanguinis. As a reminder, a similar racist complaint was made against Obama but the opposite way. That argument was that even though he was a citizen by way of his mother, he may have not been born in Hawaii (contrary to all available evidence) and therefore not a citizen.
