Discussion: Judiciary Council Dismisses Kavanaugh Ethics Complaints

Then the universe evens out-- I started drinking because of Kavanaugh.

I blame Ayn Rand.

I always blame Ayn Rand.

Jerry Nadler needs to use his subpoena authority in the next Congress to have all of Kavanaugh’s drinking buddies testify under oath to his committee along with everybody who had similar accusations against Kavanaugh. I’m sick and tired of people like Kavanaugh and the Republicans in the Senate managing to get away with everything with little consequences.

How convenient!

Of course Brett Kavanaugh shouldn’t be held accountable to offenses committed by Bart O’Kavanaugh.

The complaints may be legit, but the venue is wrong.

And so it goes . . . .

Jerry Nadler incoming chair of House Judiciary Committee will not only have the power to investigate the maladministration and consider issues leading to impeachment but will also have the power to investigate the crimes of the predatory drunkard. We’re not sunk yet.

Mr. Nadler, 71, has pledged to start investigations into potential violations of anti-corruption clauses in the Constitution, Mr. Trump’s apparent attempts to exert undue control over the F.B.I. and Justice Department, and accusations of sexual misconduct and perjury against Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh.

@burningquestions Exactamente.

10th Circuit. Where all complaints against judges go to die. You should check the web site. Bush appointee is Chief Justice on the 10th.
Anyone surprised? Me neither.
Don’t for one minute think that Roberts won’t use Kavanaugh for his needs and then turn around and threaten him when he is displeased. He’s got the goods on Beer Boy. Roberts is a quiet bastard but he ain’t no fool.

Really, check out the 10th Circuit’s site, it will tell you all you need to know.

No democracy. no justice.

Roberts conservative sidestep.

Always seem to recall Roberts statement on never political courts. Gas-lighter-in-chief

Decorum demands that we refrain to prosecute those actions on Tuesdays, or even-numbered days, or any day on the third week of a month that begins on a weekend, or any day in the first and fourth weeks of any month that ends on a business day.

It seems like a lot of the rules we have exist to protect wrongdoers who are increasingly emboldened to commit their crimes in the light of day…

Do you mean this site?

Yes. Under the tab “About the Court” is the category: Judicial Misconduct Complaints.

Oh goddammit to hell.

So, all just summarily dismissed with no consideration of the merits of the ethics complaints themselves? Because now he’s already a “Justice” (so much irony in that title now, eh?), he doesn’t have to answer to things that may have prevented him becoming one??

How fcked up is that?!?? Our system is clearly broken. How the hell do we fix it?!?

Seriously, if ethics violations occurred before he was confirmed, violations that may have prevented his confirmation, there is no way he should be shielded from those violations just because he got seated in a rush (literally “rammed through” as McConnell so aptly put it).

Regular citizens have no such protections. Why should these elite ivy league pricks get any?
