That makes it problematic for the GOP to push this out of committee, if they know they’ll lose the floor vote.
Josh is speculating that Flake might be insisting on some sort of investigation. Of course a real one could actually sink the nomination, and he has to know that.

Maybe, or maybe some of them are trying to squeeze some favors out of it. It’s also possible that rage high they got from Kavanaugh petered out faster than expected
