ā€œTwelve Syrian refugees are expected to arrive in the state on Monday. A family of six will head to Dallas and another family of six will travel to Houston, according to a legal brief filed by the Department of Justice. And an additional nine refugees from Syria will be resettled in Houston on Thursday.ā€

How long before some TX-sized racist islamaphobe bigot decides to ā€œoutā€ them all and publish their names and addresses? Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the state itself do it by throwing the information into a pleading that gets filed with the court, pretending they had some legitimate reason for including it in the pleading, but really just trying to make it part of an easily accessible public record.

But your honor, we’ve already wasted so much time and money on this. Can’t we at least have a hearing before you tell us how badly we have misinterpreted the law?

And here I thought TexASS was so damn tough and ready to handle anything that was thrown at them. Guess it was all bluster, just like Trump. All bluster, all the time.

That’s OK…the Texas GOP got what they wanted. A huge brouhaha about something they couldn’t do anything about and then when overridden by the Feds, it just dies down but all anyone in the ā€˜base’ remembers is ā€˜Principles! Values!’

Something has been chapping my ass, lately. I, truly, TRULY, wish that the news media stops saying, and stops their guests from saying that ā€œAMERICANS are on edge!ā€ or ā€œAmericans are scared!ā€ I want them to differentiate between conservative Americans and non-conservative Americans. Conservative Americans are afraid. Conservative Americans are on edge. I am not afraid of the threat of foreign terrorism. If I’m the least bit ā€œconcernedā€, it’s over an asshole white person/domestic terrorist with a semi-automatic weapon. But even that barely moves the needle. I’m not going to live my life afraid. IF I die, I die. So be it.

They are really irresponsible with that, and it’s really bothering me. Okay, thanks for listening…enjoy your day.

Judge’s response: You Texans better be happy that I delayed the hearing to save you face and my eventual ruling as to how stupid, short sighted and ill conceived this lawsuit was. You idiots just had to spend taxpayer funds on a frivolous lawsuit.

If you’ll remember one of the tough-guy yahoos pointed out that they shouldn’t accept refugees because it’s too easy to get guns in Tejas.

Attorney General of Texas, to Judge: ā€œBut that’s what taxes from the God-Fearing, Christo-Fascia Texans are for! – Not for the wimpy, bleeding-heart crap like public education, the disabled … or healthcare for the … yuck … poor!!ā€

And he’ll be adding a fez, dontcha know.

We hear way too much about those Americans who say they’re scared and rush out to buy guns to counter the threat coming from somewhere because it sells airtime or newspaper ink. We who feel life is to be lived without fear don’t get the use of a bully pulpit. P.S. And this is why I say thank dog for the Bluths at the end of the day.

Texas had better work on its state defenses, if six people can overthrow it.
