Page represented himself in the lawsuit
Of course he did. After his multiple media appearances we would expect nothing less.
…clever lawyers for powerful entities often manage to briefly pull the wool over the eyes of busy District Court Judges.
A second-year law student could have drafted the motion to dismiss on this one. Not even close.
It’s not “defaming” when someone reports on someone else’s activities. If anyone has defamed Carter Page, it’s the guy he sees in the mirror every morning.
When you have nothing, go with total and complete paranoia. Straight out of the Trump playbook.
When you have nothing, put your “third time’s a charm” PhD on your Twitter handle…
Dickhead.
That is a slam dunk by the court. Carter represented himself apparently, so we see how skillful he is as a lawyer.
If you know anything about federal judges, they try to hire very talented law graduates to act as clerks. The clerks spend significant time and effort researching case law. That way busy federal judges are better prepared, unlike Carter.
400 pages and no cause? And he was asking for $75K? That’s barely going to cover his typing costs.
BS = bull sh!t
MS = more of the same
PhD = piled higher and deeper
And I have a pile myslf.
The bill from Kinko’s must have been enormous.
Outlandish. His reputation isn’t worth a tenth of that.
clever lawyers for powerful entities often manage to briefly pull the wool over the eyes of busy District Court Judges. My future updated Complaint will shine an honest light and help restore justice.
Translation: Smarty-pants lawyers think they know all about the law. Wait till they see my new and improved, even longer filing. I’ll show 'em.
It is often said that a lawyer who represents himself has a fool for a client (many people say that); but when someone who isn’t a lawyer represents himself, he has a fool for a lawyer.
But lots and lots of whinging!
I’m almost beginning to think the Russians took one look at this guy and said ‘‘too cray-cray for us to bother with.’’
Here’s my Conspiracy Theory take on this. Carter is still on Team Donald and was attempting to sell the attack on the BBG to have the head of that group removed so that Donald could appoint a RWer in that seat. And yes, call me crzy, but there is whistleblower information - and Carter would certainly be the con guy to push for Team Donald - who is ??? a useful idiot.
Well . . . actually, after one of their earliest meetings with Page, that was the Russian agent’s take on him. It seems to have been Page’s idea, though, to keep chasing after all that Russian oil money.
Actually, most judges have professional research attorneys as staff.
