I feel as though I’m standing at the railing throwing those long strands of colored paper at the dock as we pull away. Good bye, Don. This ship is sailing.
O what a beautiful mental image.
Thank you for that and liked x millions.
They control their calendar. Fat Nixon has violated so many norms and traditions it would serve him right if Roberts decided to delay their summer recess for a couple of weeks to dispose of this.
So anyway, one of your relatives was chattering away at me yesterday. Never could figure out what he was saying (believe it was along the lines of GTFO).
personally, i really he hope he keeps winning just like today…
'We’re going to win. We’re going to win so much. We’re going to win at trade, we’re going to win at the border. We’re going to win so much, you’re going to be so sick and tired of winning, you’re going to come to me and go ‘Please, please, we can’t win anymore.’
really really hope that what may be revealed is thoroughly rancid - and fundamentally illegal for Trump -
but do have some fear that it could essentially be a dud - a total “Al Capone’s vault” which would suck the oxygen out of the 2020 campaign for 3-4 months
Probably, but in a…ya know…nice way.
Maybe not this time, but as more and more of these cases are litigated, I suspect the judges will incrementally lose patience with the bullshit. Given how Trump has fared so far, I’m beginning to think that courts will be the ultimate saviors of democracy - even SCOTUS, if it comes to that.
Bingo. They can be expected to show the same personal loyalty to Trump that Trump displays towards those in his orbit. With or without Trump, the conservative court-packing continues as long as McConnell has the Senate. President Pence could be counted on to keep vomiting up Federalist Society hacks, and a Democratic President would find that the confirmation process had suddenly ground to a complete halt. Trump is no longer useful.
And Dumbya Bushie the plaintiff.
Is this three times now that his lawyers have failed to get his desired results?
How long until they get fired (and not paid)?
Hell yeah. Let’s get this party started.
Wow, glad to hear this is possible.
I dunno… Seemed pretty vehement about it.
I thought these were all being paid by the campaign funds?
My question is “Why would they?” Monday’s judgement rejected the basis of Trump’s filings - IOW, the reasons he gave for wanting to block subpoenas were without merit. Today’s ruling was “The court concludes that the plaintiffs have not raised any serious questions,” So “not serious” and without merit. If appealed to the DC Circuit, the answer is likely to be the same - all air, no substance. Given those rulings, why would the Supremes embarrass themselves by taking up the case? They must have some sense of dignity.
Emphasis added.
