Discussion: Judge: Police Driver Not Guilty Of All Charges In Death Of Freddie Gray

This was the correct verdict.

This series of 6 show trials was brought by Mosby simply to advance her and her husband’s political ambitions. There was never any evidence of any wrongdoing.

Mosby should now resign, as she has shown she is not competent to be a State’s Attorney.

What this verdict does is sustain the Police’s conduct. They can arrest you when you’ve committed no crime, handcuff you and put you in a van. In 45 minutes you leave the van with a broken neck and die. That is now OK.

Lets not pretend we can’t see though this.

I suppose the dead guy…the dead innocent guy was not evidence. Hopefully next time it’s you in the van. No evidence…don’t cha know!

Actually, the “dead guy’s” guilt or innocence was of no concern in the trial. The question was if the officers acted reasonably in dealing with a known drug dealer with 23 priors, who had a history of claiming false medical problems.

Since his family received a ridiculous settlement of $6.5 million, before any of the trials, I doubt that they’re complaining.

Hear, hear. A thanks wasn’t enough.

The unrest was awful to witness. The drawn-out damage that the trials are causing could make that look like a school-yard dust-up.

If she pushes the remaining cases forward, with likely the same verdicts, she will own any violence that stems from her fecklessness.

With all due respect, this is a gross simplification of the events. More thorough knowledge of how the situation unfolded is key to understanding the not-guilty verdicts. Mosby over-reached in rushing to bring charges.

Clearly Freddy Gray should be tried six counts of aggravated suicide for inflicting painful embarrassment and unlawful inconvenience upon these officers of the law, who only made a righteous effort to save Mr. Gray from the consequences of his self-assaut.

So what can a cop be charged on?
