Again with the media softpedaling of Trump’s actions:

President Trump’s voter fraud commission has been dead for nearly a year and a half.

But the litigation spurred by its lack of transparency continues, with a judge on Tuesday suggesting that the administration misled the court about the appointment of certain commissioners.

Would it pain the writer too much, would it be a bridge to far, to say:

Their problem appears to be with the idea of law.

The judge is in a catch-22 situation, because whom would she refer the perjury charge to.

Doesn’t matter, the Trump administration will keep blatantly lying to Judges until the courts lay down some serious penalties.

It’s getting surreal when it comes to the impossibility of pinning a single god damned thing on Trump for the brazen crimes committed by him and his Mafia Administration. “Hints”. “Appears”. “Might Have…”. “Suggests”. “Could Be Illegal”. The equivocation, waffling and reticence is infuriating. One thing is certain: If Trump isn’t impeached (even if not convicted) then there will never be another president who needs to worry about committing crimes while in office. Trump, with the aiding and abetting of a complicit Democratic party, will have paved the way for all presidents to willfully break the law, destroy our institutions, lie, cheat, steal and profit while in office.

Ah, the old Republican stand by: When the truth just won’t do, lie.

Sounds like another case of, “it’s not the crime, it’s the cover-up”.

And he NEVER lies. Read any mainstream media article about him. He misleads. Falsely claims. Mischaracterizes. Incorrectly states. Ignores well established, universally accepted facts. But he NEVER lies.

Something I didn’t know about Babyface’s family background: (from Wikipedia) ‘‘Von Spakovsky was born in Huntsville, Alabama, where his parents had eventually settled after immigrating to the United States in 1951. His German mother met his Russian father Anatoly von Spakovsky, who had settled in Yugoslavia after WWI and then fled to Germany after WWII.’’

Nothing wrong per se with any of this, but I imagine that the dinner conversations were delightful in the aggrieved von Spakovsky household in 1960’s Alabama. I’m sure this has nothing to do with Hans growing up to make sure every vote counts.

The fucking chinless wonder should have been put behind bars years ago.

Ruefully, I wish I could agree with this assessment but this is simply not true. The Republicans will relentlessly attack the next Dem President on any and all fronts and there will be no barrier (other than political) to them pursuing relentless harassment and, if expedient, prosecution if the circumstances allow them to. Other than the predictably tepid Democratic Party equivocating that exists even today, here will be no institutional memory of, nor precedent set by the insanity that we’re now enduring.

This administration usually does not mislead . . . they usually go straight for the outright lie.
