I don’t think the judge should hear their request unless the former governor and his wife submit urine tests and are probed for God knows what is going on inside them, but probing might help.
I have to agree…the law plainly states that White, Christian GOP governors in southern states have a God given right to take whatever moneys any crook or snake oil salesman, or felon offers

Very strange. Evidence rules give special privileges to communications of husbands and wives on the assumption that marriage is a joint enterprise, even in committing crimes. Naturally, an innocent spouse can run to the police when he or she discovers the other is mixed up in crime. That does not appear to be the case here, however. They took the money together, they spent it together, they enjoyed it together. The natural conclusion is that they should be tried together.
