Discussion: Judge Dismisses Ex-Fox Host Tantaros' Suit Alleging Surveillance, Harassment

There is a problem with being such mean-spirited, mendacious and disgusting person. Nobody believes that you are the victim of anything.

The break room at a former job had the TV locked on Fox News and I was forced to listen everyday to a coven of witches that included this Harpy, who was the absolute worse person that I have listened in TV ever.

"“Plaintiff’s amended complaint is based primarily on speculation and conjecture,” Judge George B. Daniels of the Southern District of New York wrote (read his full decision below). “Moreover, she fails to adequately make out the basic elements of her claims.”

Wow…it’s rare you see a dismissal like that. The first sentence though walks the line of what’s permissible analysis on a motion to dismiss. Generally, “there’s no support for these factual allegations” is a decision on the merits and more appropriate for summary judgment. The second sentence though…that’s failure to state a claim under Rule 12(b)(6) and means that either her attorney fucked up crafting the complaint or did the best he could trying to dress up a nothingburger and still couldn’t allege enough to cover all the required elements of the claims.

Yes, I was just thinking that she’s not going to be getting a lot of job offers going forward. Probably nothing in the media.

Some more data for your analysis; a sentence from her Wikipedia entry:

“On May 18, 2018, Judge George B. Daniels threw her case out, citing lack of “factual support”. Tantaros, with no formal legal training, had decided to represent herself in the case after going through three lawyers.”

Next up: Fox host sues herself for incompetence. Wins $10 million settlement. Can’t pay. Has to declare bankruptcy. Points to ordeal and claims that it proves Clinton/Obama deep-state effort to silence her. Washington Post hires her as columnist, ends her contract four weeks later, and professes shock at learning some of the nasty, outrageous statements she has made in the past. Tantaros uses newfound fame to announce she will be running for US Senator in New Jersey in the 2019 election.

I still remember her oozing contempt and outright hatred for other victims of sexual assault. I dunno what Ailes had to be thinking, I guess harassing the regular harpies in Fox News got old and wanted to tame Medusa herself.

I guess I can’t get too upset about Tantaros getting hosed by a judge, especially when you consider her nasty little career. I mean, I have a 67 page file on Tantaros. Check out some of her behavior.

November 21, 2012 - Made fun of people on Food Stamps saying she’d look ‘fabulous’ on TV if she only spent $133 a month on food.

May 24, 2013 - Encouraged her viewers to find an Obama supporter and punch them in the face. She was upset because the Justice Department investigated one of the Fox Not the News reporters.

December 11, 2014 - Tantaros said the only reason Democrats wanted a conversation on the CIA committing torture in Iraq was because they were dedicated to showing that that United States “was not awesome,” sparking a bit on the Daily Show a few days later in which a ‘correspondent’ said Tantaros’s rant reminded him of the national anthem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StTqXEQ2l-Y

February 19, 2015 - Tantars claimed that President Obama was trying to turn the entire Middle East into one big welfare state.

February 26, 2015 - Wondered aloud if the Obama administration was anti-Semitic.

And that’s not even to 2016.

Lawyers do this all the time. In fact, it’s how they make 50-75% of their money. The difference here is between a sharp lawyer and one who is just collecting their $300 an hour, knowing that nothing else will come of the case.
I’m just so very very sorry she lost (snicker Please excuse me while I work out my grief with five minutes or so of really good, old-fashioned belly laughs.)

If you lie down with Fox you are going to get fucked or is it fleas,or something?
Maybe grabbed by your pu**y.

Given her penchant for saying the most asinine things while on Fox, I was tempted to pile on Tantaros when she came forward with her suit. But then I decided not to; after all, if she was a “victim” of sexual harassment, then she needed to heard and have her day in court.

Well, now that her day in court has come and gone…
SORRY, SUCKER!!!

“Plaintiff’s amended complaint is based primarily on speculation and conjecture…Moreover, she fails to adequately make out the basic elements of her claims.”

“[Plaintiff’s amended complaint is] Fox News’ stories are based primarily on speculation and conjecture…Moreover, [she] Fox News fails to adequately make out the basic elements of [her] any of their claims.”

Fixed it for you.
