Discussion for article #233597
Great clip as usual, and I appreciate TPM regularly flagging these, but could I ask you folks not to put any of the actual jokes in the descriptions? Jokes tend to be funnier the first time you hear them.
âPres. Obama didnât live through 9/11 âŚâ Um, really? Since Pres. Obama and I are roughly the same age, I assure you that Mr. Obamaâlike myself and all other Americans on that dayâdid, in fact live through 9/11.
What a First-Class Asshat!
Jon Stewart actually has a better clip that TPM wonât run because they seem to have a Giuliani coverage fetish. Well worth watching as he addresses the right-wingâs obsession with Obama not using the term radical Islam when describing terrorists. The clip: http://www.mediaite.com/tv/stewart-diagnoses-obama-with-msnbcitis-over-radical-islam-fight/
I prefer the jokes in the body because I donât have a chance to watch the video on most occasions.
Used to be there was the âGood Rudy â and there was the "Psycho Rudyâ - and you never knew which one would show up⌠but it seems that some time ago âPsycho Rudyâ drowned âGood Rudyâ in a bathtub ⌠and âPsycho Rudyâ has been running around un-medicated for some time.
Given the fact that there are numerous instances where Obama clearly and effusively expresses his love for America, and the fact that Guiliani could have had someone research that ahead of time, it is clear that he set out to do a hit job on Obama regardless of the truth. He is a liar and a racist and not smart enough to realize that people would do the research and call him on it. But then in the Fox news world, there will be millions who wonât know the truth.
But what does it mean to love your country, anyway? Apparently, some believe that the desire for transformation is evidence that one does not love oneâs country. That, apparently, is the evidence against Obama. The sad thing, of course, is that Obama was not able to transform America and certainly not assholes like Guiliani.
Well, thatâs why they make chocolate and vanilla. I wonât click just anything but Jon Stewart makes the cut and I work from home so no problemo. Love your avatar.
If you donât always watch Jon Stewart, that was one to catch. Although the interview with IMF head Christine Lagarde wasnât great. Iâd like to hear about what the IMF is doing besides Greece.
Thatâs the question. I live in California, wouldnât live anywhere else, yet thereâs somebody out there who thinks itâs a state full of nutty liberal loons, eating little more than fruit, nuts and kale and doing so while nude on city streets. I on the other hand wouldnât live east or south of Colorado. But I love my country and will defend it to anyone who says something disparaging about it or its people. Rudey seems to forget the terrible and sad history of Italian-Americans trying to make it as immigrants in this country. It is only here that they could ultimately succeed as they have.
Thank you for that.
It was a decision made in which the âtruthâ was not required in ânewsâ broadcasts. This enables FOX. Helps CNN.
Just look at that above sentences. And cry for our youth.
The problem with these right-wing aholes is they claim to love America, but they hate real Americans - not just Native Americans, but the good people of New England and New Amsterdam from whom the highest American values were imparted. The whole claim against âcoastal elitesâ is precisely the rejection of those who once made America exceptional. Whatâs especially painful is Giulianiâs resolute rejection of the core values of the very city he was mayor of - a rejection also embodied in his fatherâs career as a Mob enforcer.
Now, Iâve lived in a Mob-controlled Brooklyn neighborhood, and truly have a fondness for their culture. But the farther we can keep it out of American politics, the better.
But if you remove the word Giuliani, the heading wouldnât make much senseâŚOH, I get it. Never mindâŚ
TPM, if I wanted auto play on a clip Iâd go to CNN.
Having said thatâŚI love Jon Stewart!
And Rudy noun verb 9/11 Giuliani is an asshat supreme.
His willful stupidity really annoys me.
that. was. hilarious. thank you for sharing.
When he said âthe unique willingness to crassly exploit itâ it was a good moment for simple human decency.
Thank you, thatâs my baby Maximus. He passed about 3 years ago. The love of my life, but donât tell my husband. For what itâs worth, I like chocolate.
Itâs a rare comment by Rudy that he doesnât include 9/11 in some fashion. In that original comment about Obama not loving America he said something to the effect that Obama didnât live thru 9/11 and that both he and his police commissioner (later found to be a felon) had buildings fall on them. We all lived thru 9/11 unless that is one is less than 14 years old. Seeing as Obama is older than 14 and that Rudy is still with us and was killed by a building falling on him, I question the veracity of his statements. I think the poor man is unbalanced and is in need of an intervention.
Giuliani may not âown 9/11â but he certainly appears to have purchased the merchandising rights.
