Discussion: Johnson: I Never Said I Opposed Senate Repeal Bill, I Just Needed More Time

“I never said that I never said it. What I said was that I never said what you said that I said.”

That’s Johnson’s forte. (BTW—the word forte has one syllable and the final “e” is silent. It’s not French.)

They call him Senator Eggo because he’s so good at waffling.

With a shorter johnson, he can’t pork much.

And “the skyrocketing premiums” are a laugh to hear from Senator Johnson’s foul mouth, because in the 7-8 years after the Republicans succeeded in derailing any serious discussion of implementing national health insurance legislation (aka Hillarycare), particularly during the GWB Administration, those of us who paid for our families’ own health insurance were subjected to 30% to 50% premium increases on a yearly basis. The GOP was fine with doing absolutely nothing about the job-killing skyrocketing premiums back then.

Please, please don’t Primary me!!!11!!!

Here’s the thing I don’t understand about this: he just won re election. Why not just come out and admit it, as you say. Doesn’t really matter at this point for him.

Johnson is so dumb, if they put a horse’s head in his bed, he’d think he got pogo stick as a present.
Whatever message he got was delivered bluntly.

Johnson is clearly on board to do as told by leadership.

“We have to do something. Anything we pass is not going to be perfect so maybe what we’re going to have to do,…"

This is exactly how this bill will pass and then it will be rushed through the House bypassing committee and ACA will be dead.

PS: I’m still fighting and calling my GOP Senator daily, but I’m also filled with dread.

Mostly, they just call him dumb because, well, he’s so dumb.

Not the Gulag?? I live about 100 miles from a notorious Gulag camp, and it is NOTHING like universal free health care there.

I trust no one interviewing this spineless fool put their access to the GOP Congresscritters in jeopardy by pointing out that the instability in premiums has resulted from Republicans refusing to fund certain provisions of the ACA as part of their deliberate plan to sabotage it. I mean, thank God we don’t have media members who challenge the GOP on their lies about Obamacare – that would be too much to bear.

Sad to say, Johnson just beat Feingold in November, so he´s gonna be there for a while.

Awesome!
That reminds me of Mitt
“I’m not familiar precisely with what I said, but I’ll stand by what I said, whatever it was.”

And again, let us also not forget that any instability in premiums under the ACA is due to the Republicans’ own sabotage of the law.

Ron Johnson is so stupid that he has to strip naked to count to 21.

Blather, pure blather. Johnson is one of the least intelligent members of the Senate.

And is unable to chew gum at the same time.

Same with our Sen Portman. They both may think they can skate on this one.

Perhaps this comment is unfair to weasels, But Ron Johnson is the human (anthropomorphic) picture of a weasel. He is a vacillator and a phony who is trying to keep his constituents off balance by suggesting, hinting that he may be opposed to the heartless, venal Trump/McConnell/Ryan/Ron Johnson health plan that would be devastating to his constituents. When it is, in my opinion, without doubt that he will in the final analysis vote for its passage. He has no moral courage,no moral backbone to do the right thing.
