Hey TPM, could you clarify this statement in the article?

Was McCain telling Tsinigine to leave or was McCain saying HE had to leave? It’s important to the sense of the article considering the gist was McCain was run off.

The EPA was trying to stop the leakage of mine sludge into the watershed when they accidentally broke the waste lake dam and released millions of gallons of toxic sludge. John McCain and AZ politicians have reflexively opposed environmental remediation efforts for decades.

Here’s another source with additional information. McCain was being his usual dickish self. When he was first elected in the 80’s he was a big supporter of the National Parks and was about as good a conservationist as one could get in the Republican Party. Times change. Sad, that.

Friggin old troll. Does nothing for years. Then each election cycle he actually shows his face.
Of course, obviously not many of us want to see his face.
He does NOTHING for our state. NOTHING…oh wait, he did lobby to open the grand canyon lands to open pit strip uranium mining…in which the state gets nothing, but pollution. While tourism, because of the grand canyon (which he doesn’t lobby for), brings in about a billion dollars annually.
So in jony mc little mind, ruining the grand canyon lands for no money to the state, while his corporate mining master make billions, is a better deal than leaving it alone and allow tourism to flourish.
Stupid corporate mining, ass-wipe!

Not to mention relying on a Missouri based company to do the actual work…a company with very rich Republican connections that were guaranteed the contract in order for McCain and other Republicans to approve the budget!
The establishment candidates that accept millions and millions in campaign funds and Super Pac’s need to be voted out of office…otherwise there will be more environmental disasters in the US in the interest of BUSINESS over families and the country!
Bernie Sanders is not beholden to the establishment or to the billionaires and corporations…which is exactly what McCain is all about. McCain should be in prison as parting of the Keating bank fraud gang…not running around lying to the people!
