Discussion: John McCain: Obama 'Allowed' Nice Attack To 'Happen'

McCain has gotten as reckless, desperate, and nutty as the presumptive nominee of his party. John, get over it, you lost!!

But of course. Because President Obama personally waved the truck driver through when he said he was delivering ice cream.

John McCain really needs to go shrivel up in a crypt in the desert and never be seen or heard form again. What a disgusting pig.

BTW it was Bush and yours invasion of Iraq that created ISIL you sick fucking warmongering scumbag. Go humo a grenade with the pin pulled.

This awful coot sounds more and more like Donald Trump each day. John McTrump. And it’s looking more and more like he’ll have the same outcome in November.

Go and get captured again, you old, pathetic lying bastard. It’s the only thing you’re good at.

Ok. McCain’s trolley has derailed. Madness in great (well, sort of) ones must not unwatched go. His loved ones, if any, should urge him to retire.

McPalin must not be doing very well in his reelection bid. Blaming Obama for an attack in a foreign country is pretty desperate.

Hmmm … Okay. Nice, France is a whole continent away – and France is another country. You do know that, don’tcha Jonnie Cat? Seriously? Um, okay. Well, at least me believing George W. Bush “allowed” 9-11 to happen isn’t too wacky, then … but at least that’s about our own nation!

Clearly Obama’s “magic Negro powers” failed us all…

Would somebody once and for all make it fricking plain George Bush set up the mechanism and timleline for the withdrawal of forces from Iraq? Goddamn!

In late April 2007 Congress passed a supplementary spending bill for Iraq that set a deadline for troop withdrawal but President Bush vetoed this bill, citing his concerns about setting a withdrawal deadline. The Bush Administration later sought an agreement with the Iraqi government, and in 2008 George W. Bush signed the U.S.–Iraq Status of Forces Agreement. It included a deadline of 31 December 2011, before which "all the United States Forces shall withdraw from all Iraqi territory". The last U.S. troops left Iraq on 18 December 2011, in accordance with this agreement. US Forces, in the form of air support, resumed operations in Iraq in June 2014, to defend it against ISIL.

The Iraqis refused to include immunity for U.S. troops without first various Iraqi controlled judicial entities having say in the disposition of charges. U.S. contractors were similarly put in jeopardy. Other issues remained. Obama attempted to negotiate a stay of forces with these issues remedied but the Iraqi government refused. Obama continued with the withdrawal schedule ***STRUCTURED BY THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION*** rather than subject U.S. troops and related personnel to unknown or imperfect legal protections.

Damn, I thought 9/11 was part of the Clinton legacy. More proof that the GOP is right about affirmative action policies discriminating against whites.

So if things went to hell when the U.S. started withdrawing troops, maybe the war wasn’t actually all that “won” in the first place.

Yes, but if that steak was sold by a grocer who put the wrong sell-by date on the package… ISIS will take credit.

Curses! ISIS!

I wish McCain would go quietly into the sunset. This “it’s Obama’s fault” thing is getting really, really tiring. He is a bitter, grumpy old man, who still can’t get over his presidential loss in 2008. Can’t his family stage an intervention or something?

I think chalking this up to dementia is unfair to people that have degenerative mental disorders.

He’s making a calculated political move, and it’s disgusting.

Once again it goes back to “leadership.”

What would you do differently than Pres. Obama has already done in attacking ISIS? Would you put American troops on the ground? Would you increase bombing? What would you do that he hasn’t?

"Well, it’s about leadership."

Unabashedly, I’ll say it for the 3rd or 4th time: Here’s a man who could be a revered elder statesman. Instead, he’s a nasty, bitter old man utterly consumed by his visceral hatred of Obama for keeping him from an office to which he believed himself entitled.

“my way of life
Is fall’n into the sear, the yellow leaf;
And that which should accompany old age,
As honor love, obedience, troops of friends,
I must not look to have; but, in their stead,
Curses, not loud but deep, mouth-honor, breath,
Which the poor heart would fain deny, and dare not”
