Once I was interviewing a psychiatrist at a private therapeutic high school in Montana for a magazine piece. He mentioned the common dining hall below us and said if you went and looked you’d see all the kids sitting at the tables there had sorted themselves out by maturity level. I never thought of it like that. That’s absolutely true. I remember the study groups in law school…those that you knew would cheat in a second, studied together. So, I wonder how far that stretches out.
