Discussion: John Kelly On Porter: ‘I Having Nothing To Even Consider Resigning Over’

Actually I think an honorable person would consider resigning simply for having considered being hired in the first place. Anything else you do where you fail to cover yourself in glory is just icing on a damn funky cake.

Remember when Alexander (“I am in control here at the White House”) Haig was the gold standard in military overreaching as a president’s chief of staff?

We were so young and innocent then …

That statement says way more about Kelly than about the enormity of his behavior.

Kelly is using the Trump Standard such that if DJT hasn’t resigned yet over his frequent lies, misfeasances, and malfeasances, why should Kelly? Sad!

“I have absolutely nothing to even consider resigning over,” Wow. And to think we were ‘glad’ that Trump seemed to have someone in authority in the WH. You are an embarrassment.

How little he remembers of what he said about Congressmen Wilson. For that alone he should quit. But he’ll be fired before too long, and it’s okay.

Wilson “stood up, and in the long tradition of empty barrels making the most noise, stood up there and all of that and talked about how she was instrumental in getting the funding for that building, and how she took care of her constituents because she got the money, and she just called up President (Barack) Obama, and on that phone call he gave the money — the $20 million — to build the building. And she sat down, and we were stunned. Stunned that she had done it. Even for someone that is that empty a barrel, we were stunned.”

Just like he has nothing to even consider apologizing to Rep. Frederica Wilson about.

Ass.

I’m not sure it’s wise of you to open your mouth, ever, Kelly.

Thanks for explaining that your glowing character reference for a wife beater is not something you lose sleep over.

Despicable.

It used to that the Chief of Staff was someone you knew worked for a president but he had a shadowy presence and was an adviser of some kind. It really defies years of precedence for one, and such an incompetent one, to make the job real to us.

Execrable.

I guess we know who is winning the internal machinations.

My big problem is that I want ALL the factions to lose. I want them all fired.

(excluding McMaster and Mattis)

And really no problem is solved until the toddler-in-charge is removed from his playpen.

Since it appears that timeline you just tried to peddle is a total fabrication, maybe you can resign for bald-face lying to the American people!
Oh wait, Trump White House. Right.
Never mind.

Kelly is showing too much hubris here. He had another explanation on the Porter timeline which reporters blasted as wholly inaccurate. There’s a NBC article talking about Trump’s angry mental state when he went around everyone to impose tariffs (very comforting by the way to see a POTUS who commands the most powerful military in the world with such a poor grip on his emotions making impulsive, anger based, thoughtless decisions). One of the things that triggered Trump, per NBC, was the treatment by Kelly of his son in law.

Now, we know that Trump told Kelly to run Javanka out of town. However, anger isn’t rational and a narcissists anger goes in several directions, even ones you don’t expect. Sometimes, a narcissist will intellectually agree with you on a certain course of action, and hate you for ‘making’ him/her do the action.

Javanka are going to demand Kelly’s head as the price for a diminished role. I think Kelly may be out sooner rather than later. He barely escaped a few weeks ago.

“I have absolutely nothing to even consider resigning over."

You know, that sounds quite true to me, given the fact the dude is working in THAT White House…

“I have absolutely nothing to even consider resigning over,”

Well, there’s the bald-faced lying about Rep, Wilson, the enabling of Porter, the racist agreement with Trump, the bigoted view of immigration, and so on and so on . . . .

Ok, Kelly, let me give you a couple or so of things to consider:

love of country
personal integrity
your family’s legacy
right and wrong
