Discussion: JoeScar: Why Are We ‘Wasting’ Time Talking Trump Aide’s Battery Charge?

Because people keep getting battered at Trump rallies with the candidate’s stated approval. And that’s news, since it hasn’t happened in recent memory. If ever.

Sounds like the major reason they spent so much time talking about it is that Mr. Scarborough kept either interrupting people, or talking about how much time they were spending talking about it.

“Physician heal thyself!.”

As Cruz aptly enough pointed out, “members of the campaign staff should not be physically assaulting the press.” But if that’s what they’re doing, it’s a pretty much unprecedented news story worth ten minutes of discussion on a supposed news show, Joe, you fucking moron.

I wouldn’t expect any less from the guy who ended up with a dead female staffer in his office.

We are now eight minutes into this and I guarantee you, wasting eight minutes, now almost nine minutes on this, people will still say that we have insufficiently obsessed on this touching.”

Because Joe, if a Democratic candidate staff did it, you would have it tattooed on your forehead.

Well, in a very strict definitional sense. Cokie’s not a serious journalist, as we know, but she does play one on TV.

Pay no attention to the intern under the curtain.

Easy there… Katherine just forgot to put the quotation marks around “journalist.”

Actually I have been wondering the same thing, and the answer is obvious, Trump is using the charge to gain additional press attention and the media are using it to sell soap.

From what I saw there was a technical battery but nothing more than normal in a crowd situation. No charge should have been or would have been filed if the Trump aide had said “I am sorry,” but he didn’t because another day dominating the news is another day Cruz loses.

Discussing Trump’s lies about the battery charge and his slanders of the victim = ‘wasting’ time

Being used by Trump by giving him unfiltered, wall-to-wall opportunities for free media = doing our job

Joe? Wasting time? (snicker) Isn’t that what republicans do buddy?
Seriously now, Joe, assault or man handling or maybe “simple battery” isn’t something men should do to women. Why is that so hard for you to get? Corey Lewandowski has a history of behaving this way. And Trump stands by it. That ought to be news if Trump’s seeking to be POTUS…and he is seeking it, Joe.

Does he owe Trump a lot of money or something?

They aren’t beating a dead horse.
The media is simply telling Trumps evolving storyline.

“It never happened”

Then

“The video doesn’t show it”

Then

“The over head video shows her with a possible weapon”

I want this guys paper thin empire burned to the ground when this election is over.

Pfffffft. OK Fine. Palin still gets called Gov’nor so i guess it’s not that ridiculous.
Sorry Katherine. Still watching you though…

This is barely a story. Barely. Granted, The Donald made it worse with his typically over-the-top comments about what did or didn’t happen, but still. Look at it this way: If it were Kasich’s campaign manager, would it be a major story on the NYT front page? No. Absolutely no.

Move along, folks, nothing to see here.

JoeScar: Why Are We ‘Wasting’ Time Talking Trump Aide’s Battery Charge …when we should be investigating that dead intern found in my office?"

There ya’ go Joe! Finished it for you.

You’re welcome.
