Discussion: Joe Scarborough: I Won't Vote For Trump If He Doesn't Take Back Muslim Ban

Yea, except for that he’s a really great candidate…goof.

“That’s a loser.”

Not to mention xenophobic, offensive, embarrassing, damaging to our national reputation and illegal.

My apologies, LGB - I get caught up in the moment sometimes…

Joe would probably have voted for Hitler if he had “publicly” taken back those Aryan Nation remarks about baking Jews. It’s just nuts for any serous person to say they would voted for this WWE rodeo clown. MSNBC has a very real problem.

I understand. The Rs and their stupidity can sometimes have that effect on us.

All these dopes on TV act like this is just a horse race with no consequences. “Trump will need to do this, or say this, to win”. What difference does it make if he moderates his tone now? He was either lying before or he’s lying now. In any event, he has said enough that we know who he is and he is detestable. So, Joe, what would it matter if he takes it back before August? Your remark shows you are as shallow as he is.

Really dude? That’s the one thing you just can’t get behind, but everything else is cool?

Well said “What difference does it make if he moderates his tone now? He was either lying before or he’s lying now.”

The media are treating the changes as the same as the nuanced changes candidates normally make going from primaries to the general. This is the false equivalence that says both sides are the same.

People with I.Q.s north of 80 outside of BaggerLand will look at this as:

“I will vote for Donald Trump and I want my rube/audience to look at me as someone with sense”

guess joe is cool with the wall and the deportation squads.

Here’s the conundrum for Trump on that issue. His support for the Muslim ban is one of the reasons why people support him. If he shifts and says, “Just kidding” he will be disappointing his base. The other problem is that there’s lots of video footage of him calling for this ban that will be woven into advertisements by the Clinton campaign during the general. Even if he tries to back away from his statements, he won’t be able to. That being said, who here believes that Joe Scarborough would ever vote for Hillary Clinton? This is what you helped build, Joe. Own it.

Yet he is already doing so with regards to the minimum wage; complete 180 degree reversal from what he said…repeatedly…during the debates. And is receiving no push back on it.

Another classic example is how, again repeatedly, he proclaimed he was always against the Iraq war.

Oops. Not so much. But did ANYONE ever bother to bring that up? Not in the slightest…the media just accepted a bald faced lie as truth because Trump uttered it.

Trump believes he can “rebrand” himself however he likes, and nobody in the media is going to even think about holding him accountable for previous statements. And, given that the press largely believes they themselves are completely unaccountable, why shouldn’t he think that way?

Trump is going to test the capacity for cognitive dissonance among both the media and his supporters for rest of the campaign. It will be interesting to see just how many skulls can’t handle it and explode.

Ooo…ooo…can we watch you be tough?

I have a theory on this; what if keeping Drumpf up on the air on msnbc is designed to make liberal’s batshit crazy and frightened enough to get off their ass and vote?

Here here!

I’d bet good money many here would volunteer just to avoid reading that!
