Discussion: Jindal: SCOTUS Ruling Is 'All Out Assault' On Christians' Religious Freedom

Discussion for article #237902

No, Bobby. The decision is a rejection of ignorance and bigotry in America, at least when it comes to the rights and privileges that go along with civil marriage.

It’s an all-out assault! Barricade yourselves behind your straight cakes and your heteronormative pizzas! Only they can protect you!

I once watched a garter snake catch and eat a small frog. The frog’s panic and struggle made me wince. But then I remembered, “The snake needs a meal. Nothing wrong with that.”

Same.

Can I sing “The Circle of Life” now?

As we speak, Piyush is assembling a crack team of exorcists to repel SCOTUS’ demons and restore Brady Bunch family values to the nation.

This has been a bad week for Piyush and his cadre of losers-- ACA upheld, Same Sex Marriage upheld, Bristol Palin is knocked up again-- GOOD TIMES!!!

Fuck you, your corrupt administration, your laughable presidential pretensions, your gullible mouthbreathing lizard-brained “base”, and your fictional hateful god, Bobby. Did I miss anything?

Well, Bobby Boy, it just affirms that YOUR Religious Dogma does not trump OUR United States Constitution.
So, Fuck Off Bible Thumper.

Only when it supposedly coincides with his hate…

This decision will pave the way for an all out assault against the religious freedom rights of Christians who disagree with this decision. This ruling must not be used as pretext by Washington to erode our right to religious liberty.

Please explain your reasoning, Gov. Jindal…

It is not really set down by God, the Bible is full of all sorts of versions of marriage.

Yes, because if you can’t impose your beliefs on all others then YOU are the one under assault. Putz.

Bobby should be happy. The SCOTUS struck a blow against Sharia law.

Doesn’t matter how hard they rant and rail, the ruling also says that marriages between people of the same sex have to be recognized as permissible in all states and between states. Therefore, a marriage performed in a state unopposed to same sex marriage has to be legally recognized under the law in states that are opposed to same sex marriage. So no matter how many run-arounds conservatives choose to try to stomp this down (i.e. Religious Freedom Restoration Acts, or striking county clerks/ magistrates from issuing a license to a same sex couple) the Court has ruled according to the Constitution, very clearly.
