Sorry but like being a Native American, and I’m guessing that people from south and central America like being who they are as well.
WTH! The USA is the best country in the world. The bar’s not that high, is it?
But ET wasn’t embarrassed to be an alien.
More initatives by President Jindal in his First Hundred Days will include infiltrating the Knights of Columbus with FBI “moles” to destroy that hyphenated American organization. Also his FCC will shut down the BET network; his FDA will close all factories manufacturing green beer, hummus, sushi, and chutney; and his Department of Education will ban all foreign language instruction at all levels.
And America is tired of you and conservative nitwits. So I guess that makes us even.
“But ET wasn’t embarrassed to be an alien.”
At least ET self-deported.
This rhetoric is almost as bad as when he gave the Republican response to the State of the Union address.
Too much into hyphens? Needing to try more to assimilate? Maybe Piyush has a point…
Maybe if I had called myself Biff, instead of Emiliano, all my relations with Muricans would have been more groovy.
He does have a way with words, doesn’t he???
That’s odd coming from a Douche-bag-American. Maybe he’s offended by single hyphen Americans.
I trust Jindal will take his message to the Irish in NYC, Boston and Chicago. No more parades. I’ll wait.
I think that the correct terminology is Idiot-Americans. . .
So is he saying to get rid of Irish Americans and St. Patrick’s Day?
Isn’t this guy a hyphenated American? Feel free to leave, idiot
I’m pretty sure “hyphenated Americans” are tired of you, too.
America is exceptional and located in the middle of the world, all countries revolving around her. And the earth is at the center of the universe.
-edit- Also God lives in the middle of America.
“There is nothing wrong with saying, ‘If you want to come to America, you should want to be an American,’” he said in a speech to the annual Conservative Political Action Conference outside of Washington, D.C. “There is nothing wrong with saying that English is our language, and we’re going to teach American exceptionalism to our children in civics.”
I would have dismissed this as your typical idiotspeak, dog-whistle politicking from the GOP, if not for the last, bolded part. It’s as if they don’t even care to hide the fact that they want to white-wash history and teach pure propaganda to our students.
…And then he wonders why immigrants don’t want to consider themselves “American”? It’s because one of the few things we’re still world-renowned for is celebrating ignorance.
Is that the one where he was standing in a planter?
Borowitz quoted the president as saying the other day “I love all Americans… even the idiots.”
He is also tired of “the Republican Party being the stupid party,” (11/13/12). So he must be most tired of stupid Republicans with hyphenated names.
