Discussion: Jimmy Fallon: I 'Made A Mistake' With Infamous Hair Mussing Trump Interview

“Life’s tough when the ratings keep falling,” is what he means.

I remember that scene and the backlash it caused. In my mind, it was deserved. It wasn’t as if Fallon hadn’t been given multiple clues almost every single day what type of asshole Trump is. It sounds like Fallon took the backlash personally and not just as a majorly bad business decision and move on.

apologized “if I made anyone mad.”

Respectfully, take your nonpology and shove it.

“You go, ‘Alright, we get it. I heard you. You made me feel bad. So now what? Are you happy? I’m depressed. Do you want to push me more? What do you want me to do? You want me to kill myself? What would make you happy? Get over it.’”

Well, we’ll quit watching your show. We might not even start watching it again. What, do you think we owe it to you to be your audience?

In your words, “get over us”.

Consequences are rough for rich people.

Came here to post the same.

Yet again, it is NO apology if it is conditional on whether “I made anyone mad.”
One is either apologizing for their actions or not. The response of the victims is irrelevant.

Forget it, Jimmy - you’re a loser and nothing will change that.

Yes I think you captured Fallon’s tone well. As if he made an unimportant personal choice that people didn’t like, and is being unfairly punished for it.

Look at the astute criticism that Stephen Colbert and Seth Meyers provide – Fallon could actually get in the game instead of sulking. But somehow I suspect that’s beyond him.

The last time I watched his show was Sept. 15, 2016. Before that I thought he brought more talent to the show than anyone guessed he had. Too bad fucker.

It’s amazing how many in the media are speaking out about the dangers of normalizing Trump.

After they spend decades normalizing Trump.

Leave Jimmy aloooooone. The toxicity of Trump hadn’t reached peak performance at that time.

That’s very nice, but when another similar opportunity presents itself, the media and entertainment industries will make precisely the same errors.

I remember Dr. Oz covering for him as well. Helping him sell a bullshit medical report. But if Morning Joe hadn’t knuckled under again in the Fall of 2016… There’s blame enough to go around.
Fallon, though sounds like a sob-sister nitwit.

Sorry Jimmy, once you go Vichy there is no coming back.

Fuck, Jimmy! How long did it take you to figure that one out?

The Orange Obfuscator has no good side to get on. Sucking up is futile.

What’s the famous quote from Tennessee or Texas…"fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can’t get fooled again.” Nope certainly can’t get fooled again.

Now can Jimmy Kimmel admit that he made a mistake clowning around with that snake Cruz the other night ago as he pretended to be just an ordinary American who loves a pickup game of basketball? No regular guy puts forward a bill that would guarantee that concentrations camps for Hispanic families should be legal. Only the worst kind of frauds would put people in prison for looking for asylum.

“I made a mistake when I decided to pursue a career in media,” is what this simpering hack means.

SNL gave The CombOver a shot at hosting his own show. Talk about allowing oneself to be embedded up the rear of a horse.

Meh. What-the-fuck-ever. He’s not nearly as funny as Colbert or Meyers.
