(… nailed to a cross before immersion?)
Caricature is supposed to capture and exaggerate something essential about a person, often parodically. It totally fails if it isn’t instantly recognizable. Since he didn’t mention his subject by name, but everyone instantly seems to know exactly who it is, then obviously he captured something a lot of people–including her supporters, apparently–recognize in her.
Or to put it another way, if the shoe fits…
Sarah Huckabee Sanders is the spawn of Satan, pulled from the deepest fires of hell and cast into this world to do nothing but lie for and promote the most brazenly amoral and least Christian administration in the history of the United States in the most shameless and smug manner possible. That painting is way too flattering. Carrey didn’t even give her horns.
Good gravy. I never thought I’d be weighing in on this sort of thing, but I actually find his cartoon of Sarah Huckabuck Sanders as the Huckster she is, kinda of accurate and also somewhat commendable. And this is coming from someone who can’t stand Jim Carrey, though as a kid, my son used to love his slapstick schtick to no end (we’re talking about when he was like 8). When I found out Carrey was going after parents that immunized their children with vaccines, and he got up on his high horse and soapbox about how bad it was, I realized what an genuine ignoramus he was. So let’s just call this even-steven for now.
Jim, the whippings will continue until you apologize!
Bwaahahahhahah!
Go Jim! Go!
Freedom is nothing unless you live it.
The one of Hair Furor kissing Putin’s ass is my personal favorite.
Oh Noze! Attempted invasion of Canada coming up!
When will the Americans ever learn:
And:
And:
And:
Oh well, I for one welcome our new Canadian Overlords - at least we’ll have universal healthcare…
I still say it’s a very good likeness of Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Why is the far right so upset.
When Obama was President, do you remember all those photo-things of Obama portrayed as a witch doctor? I do. Those were flat-out racist filth. Carrey’s picture is just Sarah being Sarah. And since when is it “body shaming” when you draw a picture of somebody being angry?
It’s already been done!

The ugly part although subjective is accurate, what I question is if she is a “Fake Christian”, (what is a “True Christian”) she seems to be fairly mainstream. The reality is that most people that people that either introduce themselves as Christians or otherwise let you know how pious they are, are usually pretty nasty people.
That is one kick-ass portfolio! Thanks.
I think, no, pretty sure he did an excellent job of creating a better image than what he really wanted to do. He could have easily went more realistic and been heavily criticized by the hypocrisy society of the gop
Imagine if he painted this: lol…
Did someone say something about snowflakes?
But it is fun to see the Trumpsters whining as usual.
to quote another famous monk “You’ve been making the wrong mistakes.”
This is the portrait of a so-called Christian whose only purpose in life is to lie for the wicked. Monstrous!
The quote… captures precisely who she is based on what I see of her from my perspective.
The painting… the fuck it is shaming. It is showing the real face beyond her barely restrained public face.
This is what art (and or political commentary) is meant to do.
Also, he made her look better than she actually does in life - the eyes are symmetrical and her head is thinner.
No one elected her to squat. She’s a joke. Our own 21st Century Tokyo Rose? Baghdad Bobbiesocks? My vote is for Baghdad Bobbiesocks. Well there ya go! She has been elected after all.
