I donât understand why people on the Right automatically assumed that picture was of SHS. Did they recognize her by his description of her as a liar and a so-called Christian? The portrait could have easily been of Beavis. Or Susan Sarandon. Or Ted Nugent.

I was actually expecting Carrey in an impression of Sanders.
Which if anyone remembers his genius for physical mimicry (check out his his Sammie Davis, Jr. impression from @1987) would have been better still.

Between Carreyâs Huckabee caricature and The New Yorkerâs cover of the Trumpster Exposed, the right-wing is in an art-meltdown. Then again, theyâre merely expressing their double standard on the First Amendment and general suspicion of all things art-related. Those damn Liberal Art programs poisoning the well!!
Once they start using terms like depraved or degenerate is when we should really worry (gulp).

Carreyâs painting is commentary on her lying hypocrisy and abhorrent behavior, but all these folks care about is her appearance. How expected.

While I believe that reporting on this is ridiculous, but its larger point is really scary. Itâs only in totalitarian dictatorships that one has to worry about the free speech, and the critique of those in power.
