Discussion: Jersey Shore Beach Town Seeks Ferry Service For Kushner-Owned Resort

“Kushner Cos. spokeswoman Christine Taylor said the pier would benefit Long Branch, and had “no specific benefit to us versus anyone else” in town.”

Christine, you must know it’s all about LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!

‘places the federal government in the awkward position of helping…’ Uh huh. MY question is WHERE IS ALL THE FKING MONEY WE GAVE TO NJ to rebuild all this stuff after Sandy?

this might be the ideal model of having a private company take care of this instead of taxpayer dollars. Brand it up, I don’t care. take that tract and don’t call us when the storms take out your decks and pools.

“Kushner’s resort sits right next to the proposed pier, which places the federal government in the awkward position of helping steer a project that would benefit President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser.”

What awkward position. This is what government is for now…to enrich the family.

“Given Kushner’s role advising Trump on policy issues ranging from Middle East peace to infrastructure, some question whether those small-town business ties now pose a conflict of interest.”

Hahahahaha! Conflict of interest. Now that’s funny.

[/quote]So, the Kushner Company could pay for the Kushner Ferry to take people to the Kushner Resort. That makes sense … and, therefor, won’t happen.

Fetid + Stinky + Rotten = Corrupt

Another wish granted by Kushner’s Fairy Godfather.

Long Branch is a sad sack of a town with a truly silly “upscale” development set just off the Boardwalk. Clerks was the best thing that ever happened to it. Seeing that shopping center a few years ago was a true WTF moment. Knowing that it’s a Kushner development is a perfect example of why the Kushners are in financial trouble. This is a desperate attempt to bring life to a shopping area trying to sell upscale clothing and olive oils in a place where the major sellers are beach balls and sand buckets. The payoff for Long Branch is next to zero.

The pier was destroyed by fire in 1987, so it’s probably not legal to use Sandy recovery funding to pay for rebuilding it.

Thanks…
