CNN, defining journalism down on a nightly basis.
At least we know what Faux News is about.
CNN has become a stealth Faux, but they are only fooling themselves at this point.
“The reason we hired Corey is that now that we are in the general election, I think it’s really important to have voices on CNN who are supportive of the Republican nominee,” Zucker said.
BULLSHIT!
Who have you hired for the general election on CNN “who are supportive of the Democratic nominee”?
This is pure money-grubbing at it’s most naked. Keep the election appearing to be “close” and every single story “fair and balanced” so the ad revenue continues to roll in.
Vampires. That is what they are.
I think it’s really important to have voices on CNN who are supportive of the Republican nominee," Zucker said. “It’s hard to find a lot of those.”
Not clear on why exactly.
Trump: Even a liberal network like CNN likes my plant. I am fully bi-partisan.
Obviously, these cable news networks don’t have so much as an ombudsman that can tell Zucker he’s off his rocker and what he’s doing is unethical, anymore than Les Moonves has one where he works.
Its not about bringing on a person in support of the tRump as he says. Its about fucking ratings. Ironically, I believe it makes more people tune out than tune in to CNN…
“The reason we hired Corey is that now that we are in the general election, I think it’s really important to have voices on CNN who are supportive of the Republican nominee,” Zucker said. “It’s hard to find a lot of those.”
Perhaps there’s a good reason why you have such a hard time finding articulate, intelligent people who support a bigoted lunatic.
I think it’s really important to have voices on CNN who are supportive of the Republican nominee
Not even trying to hide the bias.
Right. We should ALWAYS find someone who ‘agrees’ with the nominee even if they are INSANE because you know, fair and balanced, equal, both sides do it or whatever else CRAP you pretend passes for ‘jounalism’ Zucker…Good God. The Fourth Estate, indeed.
Just don’t watch CNN. I haven’t in decades. Wife still loves me, sun comes up in the morning, still not metamorphosing into a newt.
“The reason we hired Corey is that now that we are in the general election, I think it’s really important to have voices on CNN who are supportive of the Republican nominee,” Zucker said. “It’s hard to find a lot of those.”
Why in the hell is it the reponsibility of a news company to proactively tout the candidacy of a Presidential nominee? As far as his "It's hard to find a lot of those" bullshit any show booker worth his/her salary can work the phones for 10 minutes and have Trump surrogates fighting over appearing on any show at any hour for any length of time. Damn, what a fool.
I had a newt. A California orange-bellied newt. Had him for over 12 years from high school through college and beyond. Gave him a dignified funeral at the Grand River here when he passed. He was my little slimy friend…but I digress.
The “balance” approach means that if you have a candidate advocating mass murder, you have to have someone on that side as well as someone who is not insane. If you have someone who literally knows no facts, that position must be given legitimacy! At least that’s what the false balance/false equivalency school of journalism thinks is appropriate. Opinions are as important (perhaps more important) than facts. Zucker screwed things up at NBC and now he’s doing the same at CNN. The idea that they have to have someone who SUPPORTS Trump on board is against every tenet of journalism. Do they have someone PAID on staff who supports Clinton? Maybe they do, but I wonder. Lewandowski makes no attempt to do anything but continue to shill for Trump. I’ll bet any money he’s double-dipping, still getting paid by Trump.
CNN? Liberal? What planet are you living on?
And this is why you are the Comedy News Network.
Just wait til they hire the Drumpf spawn, after Donnie’s blowout loss this November.
Newts are way way cooler than fish in a tank. They’re like otters, playing around all the time. The down side is they are smart enough to wander out of the tank, but not smart enough to get back in.
" I think it’s really important to have voices on CNN who are supportive of the Republican nominee," Zucker said. “It’s hard to find a lot of those.”
The fact that its hard to “find a lot of those” should say something to you, Jeff. In fact, it should speak volumes!
Oh well, so much for CNN’s objectivity.
I came into this late. Are you talking about Gingrich? Seems like it.
"He(Jeff Zucker) disagreed with criticism that Lewandowski continues to act as a Trump campaign spokesman rather than an analyst.
“hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil” Eh,Jeff ?
" “It’s hard to find a lot of those.”
CNN sure found a lot of those, whenever I’ve tuned in.
