Discussion: Jeff Sessions Will Not Recuse Himself From Michael Cohen Investigation

That means the Keebler Elf can tip off the Asshole-elect about any liability problems. Sweet. (and Sad.)

Lil Beauregard not quite ready to leave public life.

Trump’s modus operandi is to surround himself with people he has leverage over, either financial strings or compromising information. So what does Trump have that keeps Sessions from misbehaving?

All in on opportunities to obstruct justice.

Time to start (or continue) heavy collaboration with NY State DOJ.
I hope there is data sharing.

He’ll likely regret that move, but until then

And Mr Putin as well.
There are layers of leverage.

At this point, I really don’t believe he’s really got anything on Sessions or that Sessions would do much to save the president. If he were interested in doing so, why is he still there? He could’ve resigned and allowed PP to replace him months ago. In fact, it’s what Dotard has been pushing and begging him to do for months now.

And what if the US Attorney for the SDNY wants to send certain information obtained as the result of the warrants executed against Michael Cohen back to the Special Prosecutor? Will Sessions be briefed on that? And has Sessions consulted with the ethics people at DOJ, or simply made this decision on his own?

Lots of room for mischief here.

Agreed. But, as Devin Nunes has already clearly demonstrated, there is no need to refrain from recusing oneself for this purpose.

Donnie would be vewy vewy mad at you Jeffie if you recused yourself again. You do not want to endure another year of belittling tweets. Be a MAN!!!

Not sure that Jeffy’s ears will fit within a standard sized prison cell.

True, but it also expands the number of people Trump has to fire.

“enduring ire…” That’s good.

He only needs a very small cell. The ears should be allowed to return to their natural habitat.

From the Bloomberg article:
“The attorney general may be asked about his role in the Cohen investigation when he testifies before congressional panels on Wednesday and Thursday.”

If the panels can get him to address this (hopefully he won’t get to play the potential-future-Executive-Privilege card here), I’m sure he’ll manage to say the loud parts quiet and the quiet parts loud. His past performances in these situations say a lot.

Gee, sort of like Trump will step away from Trump businesses… right?

What a joke.

I think it’s the other way around – Sessions could squeal on the Dotard.
