Discussion: Jeb: US Should Still Admit Refugees, I Only Called For Focus On Christian Syrians

Discussion for article #242938

IOW, no changes to current policy, because all refugees are screened.

Further IOW, he hasn’t yet said anything other than “Declare War!”

He said that his emphasis on Christian refugees from Syria was not a call to ban Muslim refugees from the country.

BUSHSHIT!

He will not ban Syrian refugees. But only if they come from somewhere other than the Middle East.

I have an idea: why don’t we accept the refugees as planned, maybe even more than originally stated, and ship out the Republicans to Syria, starting with the Presidential candidates and working our way down through congress to the state level?

Preferably heterosexual, christian, light skinned, English speaking, college educated, GOP leaning Syrians…not that we want to discriminate it’s just these people tend to get persecuted in countries where there are a lot of undesirable people…if you know what I mean wink wink.

Gee, Jeb. Is it too much to just say we should accept anyone from Syria who is being persecuted? Why break it down into religious identity?

Bush Says He Won’t Ban Syrian Refugees Who Have Been Screened

Which would be all of them.

Bush tries the rational reasonable approach. Now watch his poll numbers tank.

…keep trying , Jeb!

It’s not fixed yet.

Being rational and reasonable doesn’t work among GOPers. They wanna hear "FEAR!!, FIRE, LOATHING!!! They’re comin’ fer my gunz!!!11123!!!one???who!!!

OHHHH! Only the refugees who’ve been screened!

'Cause, y’know, we were just going to leave the lights on and the key under the doormat and they could just let themselves in…

I think he gets a pass on that. Especially with the clarification.

I took him to mean “Xtians especially” because they are being brutalized in ways the Muslims are not – which as I understand it, is factually true. And I am not a Xtian if that matters.

This is what passes as political courage for any Republican in 2015. No one loves making fun of Jeb more than me, but he does stake out difficult positions for Republicans in these crazy times.

I believe Jeb is truthful on this one. He’s trying to be the sane person and already has Condi to point to as back up from a person that is respected on the right.

Well dah, fuck-wad.

That’s what the President said…

jebbers, the new, yet not improved ass-wipe!

Teatroll Rosetta Stone: “As long as they are tattooed with a serial number and given a GPS trackable implant, then sure!”

“if they can be screened.”

He only says this because he knows that, rather than make sure they are being screened correctly, even if it means providing funding for an agency and manpower to do it, the House and Senate Teatrolls are going to seek to prevent any such screening outright, because their concern is not really to do it and make sure it’s done right…no no…they don’t actually care, no matter how much they claim this is their concern, that there be screening and assurance that the refugees being let in are “safe.” What they are really going on about is that they think this represents a whole lot of brown people being let into the country to hasten demographic shifts and add to the Dem voter rolls…people they fear that Obama will strategically place in key areas of red states to commit the terrorist act of voting.

Yes, I’m serious…because, unfortunately, that’s something they really believe and are REALLY angry about. Think about it. They are already 100% convinced that Obama was elected in 2008 and 2012 because Dems have some sort of secret voting fraud conspiracy going on that has them benefiting from countless illegal immigrant votes. Of COURSE they believe this is an attempt to add to the voter fraud conspiracy. I mean, these people are BROWN!
